I bought a veil and floral attachment that I really love! It goes great with my dress, which was bought second hand. Not at the store.
However I was not treated very nicely by the shop venders. I didn’t make an appointment for my second drop-in to buy the veil, which is bad on me…. But also I’m alone in Germany buying wedding attire without my mother, without family to guide me.
I’m not accustomed to making reservations for such things. I’ve never done it before.
They were aggravated that I showed up without an appointment and then were annoyed that I didn’t bring a piece of paper that had prices for the pieces i was interested in from my first visit….shouldn’t they know the prices??…I didn’t know I was supposed to bring this back.
I’m happy with my purchase but in no way did I feel comfortable or encouraged in buying my veil which is considered an important purchase for a special day.
I was left with discomfort. Good prices and nice pieces but my encounters were cold and uncomfortable. Make an appointment always. Learn from my mistakes.
Also I do not speak German. Maybe this was part of the issue but is unfortunate regardless :/

I found my dream wedding dress at Balayi. I was surprised by the good service - I was allowed to browse through all their dresses and try on the ones I liked. After 8 different dresses I found my dream dress.
Also the service with at the atelier was good. I had three appointments and every time, they had made the dress the way I wanted. Even when I was there to pick up my dress two days before my wedding and the dress needed some adjustments, they helped me out and changed the dress immediately.
All in all a good experience!

Beautiful dresses, but disappointing service. Compared to many other wedding shops in Berlin, Balayi has a wonderful selection and I was able to find my dream wedding dress thanks to the lovely consultant Antonia. She was very professional and accommodating to my requests. However, after purchasing the dress (which was very expensive) the service did unfortunately not meet the same high standards. The fitting process was quite frustrating as the tailor did not seem very willing or capable to make the necessary adjustments. After my wedding I delivered my dress to Balayi for dry cleaning and a minor repair. When picking up the dress, I noticed that some threads on the sleeves had come loose after the dry cleaning. I pointed this out to the staff member and she said the tailor must have forgotten to fix it. She sent it back to the tailor and returned with the dress 10 minutes later. I was shocked to see the poor and unprofessional repair by the tailor. When I pointed this out to the staff member, she said there was nothing they could do about it as "they did not have the correct sewing machine for the dress" (which had been damaged during their dry cleaning)!! I told them that I would need to send the dress to another tailor for repair and asked for a discount on the dry cleaning/repair (which was unreasonably expensive). The staff member, however, refused to give me any discount and just said that Balayi could not not be held accountable for the repair. It was an unpleasant experience and I´m very disappointed about the way they treat customers who have purchased exclusive wedding dresses in their bridal shop. In conclusion, great wedding dress options, but poor service!

Great service, very customer friendly; help you find the dress you want with an incredible offer/ variety of different styles. Dress is tailored if needed, letting it fit you perfectly on your great day! Also offer fitting shoes and accessories for the wedding - all you need and prices are absolutely acceptable for great quality.

Balayi Brautmoden Berlin has been extremely professional and helpful upon receiving an inquiry from me regarding two dresses they did not have in store. Within a day they not only responded but also contacted the dress brand and had ordered two sample dresses so I would be able to actually try them on before purchasing. This was really an exceptional service since most other stores will demand that you but the dress before they order one for you, and as a bride you obviously want to try the dress on first. They, particularly Badegül, have been so quick with responses and have my warmest recommendations.
