Best labor lawyers in Berlin: find options near you

Well, a company which have lawyers who are contracted and paid by lawyer insurances, so probably they are not paid well enough.This leads to the lawyers not being interested at all to help and just focusing on closing the cases assigned to them ASAP.
They give whatever advise which will lead directly to closing the case as soon as possible so they get paid and move on.
You better pay for an actual lawyer directly, who will be much more interested in helping you and be on your side.

Totally useless, they provide advice which has the same basic low quality that any search engine can do. You send documents, write your need and they just provide standard answer

I was represented by LegalHero in February 2023. Although the service was supposed to be provided in English, much of the correspondence was in German. In many instances, they sent documents in German without any translation, making it difficult for me to understand their legal significance.

On September 13th, 2024, I requested a complete document packet from my case which I did not receive until 30th September 2024, however the communications were incomplete. They finally got back to me at the end of October with complete documents packet which confirms that they did not ensure my previous employer followed labour law during my dismissal or confront them with my allegations of harassment, retaliation or discrimination.

This firm is also NOT a legal firm, they are an agency that connects lawyers to clients and are not subject to the rigorous regulations of a law firm. They are also using LegalHero GmbH (not the same company) to liaise and deal with the administration and who also provide their software (as far as I can tell) and LegalHero Law are the agency. When you speak to anyone on the phone you are not talking to your lawyer so be aware.

I asked three separate times during phone calls to whom I was speaking (LegalHero the law firm or LegalHero GmbH) and I was told each time that they are the same company. It was only after pressing them that they backpedalled and admitted I was right. This may be cause for concern, as they may be purposely obfuscating the truth.

This is now being looked at by RAK (bar association, Rechtsanwaltskammer) Berlin, I will update once this with any decision they make me aware of.

Update 21st December 2024

I heard back from RAK who tell me that LegalHero Law are NOT a legal firm, but a “vermittlungs” service (like a mediator, a bit like an EBAY for lawyers services). This means that they are outside of the remit of RAK and meant that I then had to re-submit my complaint against the specific lawyer who represented me.

It doesn’t end there. The Lawyer who represented me is ALSO THE OWNER OF LEGALHERO LAW. That’s right, The person who owns LegalHero Law, who it seems has some close connection with the owners of LegalHero GmbH (who consistently misrepresented the facts of which company was which).

I have some questions about this setup, and my own answers:

Is the similarity between the logos and names of these companies designed to mislead or confuse clients? – I can only say that it definitely confused me, leading me to believe they were the same company.

Are the agents of LegalHero GmbH. telling clients of lawyers who are in turn clients of their clients, LagelHero Law, that LegalHero GmbH and LegalHero Law are the same company to mislead them into believing they really are the same company? – They had me believing it until I specifically asked the question.

Is LegalHero Law set up to appear to be a law firm despite not being a law firm? – I thought they were a law firm since they have the word “Law” in their name and they appeared to be my representation, and nobody ever made an effort to tell me otherwise.

Is this entire setup designed to confuse and mislead clients who are already vulnerable and most likely overwhelmed by the situation they are seeking help with? – I can tell you that I certainly was confused and mislead.

The Lawyer who represented me through LegalHero Law, and the owner of LegalHero Law, Jannis-Niccolo Pohlenz, is now under investigation by RAK and I will once again report back here when I hear from them with their findings.

I want to add that I have tried to remain factual in this review. outside of stated (provable or demostrable) facts anything else is my opinion, and this review is meant to reflect as honestly and accurately as possible my experiences of LegalHero GmbH, LegalHero Law, and it’s owner Jannis-Niccolo Pohlenz.

A waste of time. On the phone suggested to write an email describing the case — no-one replied to that email — on the phone again after several attempts due to technical failures on their side I was advised that I won’t get a response.

[Update, 18.02.2020] As a response to above, this law firm has suggested to remove my feedback claiming it “fake”. I would also suggest something in return: it feels like a horrible business practice to ignore potential clients first only to take time to try intimidate them later.

Contacted this guy in emergency with my fiancée facing potentially severe and unjust treatment at the Munich airport, textbook, this dude messages me at 4 am(German time) after I message him at 20:00, telling me he’s on holiday, btw waking us up while we were held against our will at the airport in blatant violation of eu refugee rights….to tell us he’s on holiday! Can’t make that up.

I politely ask him one simple question and pulls this holier than now like now I’m this person bothering him on vacation, , he shouldn’t have said anything back at all! I was clearly in an emergency. It seems completely unprofessional and bizarre for a lawyer to message someone at 4am to tell them essentially get lost I’m on vacation when that person messaged them at a reasonable time of 20:00.

I can’t imagine someone who treats a potential client like this in an emergency is any good or cares, my question was basic.

By the way this was his “emergency after hours” to be told he’s on holiday at 4am and get scolded for asking a simple question. Honestly disgraceful for a lawyer claiming half the nonsense he has on his website
