Hautarztpraxis Dr. med. Selina Adler-Herisz und Martina Jäger

I am a publicly insured patient. I have only been to this practice once and will have return in a few weeks for a follow up assessment to see how my medication is working.
I have had very painful and frustrating issues with acne for the past 3 years. I saw Dr. Jäger and honestly found her to be friendly and helpful. Despite being very busy and my German being not so great (I tried my best) she was patient, took the time to listen to my issues and offered different treatment paths. She also gave me some tips on products I could try using and supplied me with some samples.
In addition, I found the nurses (or maybe they are called MFAs?) to be friendly and helpful. The front desk staff were not necessarily friendly but I didn’t take it personally. It’s clear to see that the practice is completely overwhelmed with patients and that can’t be easy to deal with at 8:00 on a Friday morning. I only had to chat with them for 30 seconds and then I moved on.
While the waiting times can be frustrating, I feel like this is the case with all medical practices in Berlin right now. It’s not the fault of this specific practice. In addition, they do make it pretty clear on the website that they are aware of and sorry for the waiting times and that one should just arrive at the beginning of consultation hours. It’s an unfortunate but unavoidable reality that they will have to make decisions to stop seeing/accepting patients at some point. To blame the practice for this would be unfair. There is clearly a systemic issue and everyone is paying the price (healthcare workers included).
I feel that it’s important to rate such institutions on matters that they can control and based on the actual care received. Therefore, I must say that my overall experience has been very positive and I will happily be returning in a few weeks for my follow up. And I will make sure to show up early 😉

Everything was very smooth and easy. The doctors and also the staff is very friendly. Yes people are complaining about long waiting times but that is very normal especially at clinics where you dont need an appointment. No big deal in this. I would recommend this clinic!

Great! You cannot book an appointment at the moment, just go early (queue starts already at 7:30am). Ignore the reviews that talk about waiting times - this is normal everywhere at EVERY doctor, even with an appointment. The staff are really very nice, helpful and make you feel at ease - I arrived at 8am, was seen within 45 mins, and even managed to book a surgery on the same day due to a cancellation. 2 other dermatologists I called in Berlin did not answer the phone and another could not offer an appointment for 2-3 months, this really is the best option!

Doctors very competent in my opinion
Waiting time I think are something normal for such a busy Praxis, sometimes faster sometimes not but in General I am very satisfied. Definitely 5 stars.

very nice doctor, he knows what he’s doing. but the people working at the desk are extremely unfriendly when you can’t speak german. that made me feel a bit unwelcome.
