One of the best Aquariums I have visited. There are 3 floors, the 2nd and 3rd floor have insects, snakes, crocodiles etc...Buying a zoo+aquarium combined ticket way early to your visit is the best option and there is a lift available and wheelchair accessible.... I highly recommend visiting especially if you are visiting with kids...

If you're a fan of aquariums in general, you'll probably love this place. Unfortunately one floor was closed off when we visited, but I thoroughly enjoyed the two floors we could access. This place has a great variation of fishes and reptiles, and even audience feedings of the crocodiles.
Tip: save money by buying tickets online at least two weeks in advance. We visited on a Thursday morning and it was not too crowded.
Biggest downside is the lack of information in English. Most tanks only had info in German next to them, with few exceptions.

The place is a bit small, but they have beautiful fishes, corals, jelly fish, Koi pond where you can pet them, crocodiles, turtles, some lizards and snakes. You will need only 1-2hours to see all of it, I was there with my 2 little friends and after 1,5 hours the older one was already bored. I came when they were renovating the amphibian section, so I couldn‘t see it. The receptionist wasn’t friendly at all, which is weird.
I give it 4 stars because there were not much to see, that makes it a bit pricey.

Berlin has two equally excellent zoos, one West, the other East.
Berlin's Zoological Garden and Aquarium are situated in the Western half of the city. The two can be visited together or separately, so I'm only going to talk about the Aquarium in this review.
This historical aquarium, with vintage dinosaurs decorating its facade, has three zones for different animals; fresh and saltwater fish on the ground floor, reptiles on the first floor, and amphibians and invertebrates on the third (which was closed for reforms when I went there in July. A pity, but it's for the best). It houses many fascinating animals, often in multi-species environments, including rarities like the Indian gharials and the only Tuataras in the EU.
This is an excellent Aquarium, well worth anyone's time. I do recommend you get a combo ticket with the zoo, however; it makes for a more thorough experience. I thoroughly recommend it.
