The view is absolutely amazing, making it a perfect spot to relax. The lovely Iranian staff were incredibly welcoming, which added to the great atmosphere. The cocktails were tasty, but be prepared—they’re a bit on the pricey side. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy a drink with a view!

Thank you

A rooftop bar with an amazing view. You have to go only for that. The place itself is beautiful as well. The drinks were really good.
I was not satisfied with the food, however. Still, it is a place I will keep going for the atmosphere, the music, the view, the vibe.

Very nice view! The service was horrible though, literally no service except taking the order and delivering food. We had sparkling water and the water was still, mentioned to the waiter, he just doesn’t seem to care.

Monkey Bar was a tourist trap in Berlin. The only thing nice about the place was the skyline views. Service and food were okay. I had the passion fruit martini (which looked way better than it tasted) it just tasted like cheap alcohol with not even a hint of passion fruit. Over all a below average experience.

Little gem of a cocktail bar with one of the best espresso martini I ever had. The free water on the table is a nice add on, so is the Wodka shots. We had a great time. And also the mocktails were delicious and didn’t only taste of sugar like in other places. They do have a separate smoking area inside which surprised me and sitting close means you still smell a bit of smoke. But that’s a minor inconvenience for the delicious cocktails

we arrived 1 hour earlier than the reservation time, it was great that the staff arranged a place for us immediately (although a bit cramped) but still ok for us to sit and talk comfortably, the cocktail drinks were great and special, suitable for gathering with friends on weekends (prices are also very reasonable) !!! will come back

This place is wonderful! The ambiance is great, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the cocktails are well-crafted with a perfect blend of flavors. The hookah is excellent, offering smooth and enjoyable sessions. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable evening!

Only negative side, look like they are not accepting payment by card and considering we spended more then 100 euro was a strange

Very nice cocktailbar on the Spree (bank). There is a large terrace you can enjoy in good weather, but there is also an indoor part – this has a very cosy atmosphere in the evening, with great lights. The floor is sand inside as well as outside.

Cool spot that seems to be One of the only places that is open late in this area. The prices are a little on the high end, but you pay for the space, the service, and the general atmosphere of the place. It feels upmarket.

You get a bit of a shock when you walk in there because of the flooring- But you’ll have to go to find out what it is.

Decent Wi-Fi so if you are working late it’s perfect. The music is not too loud before 11.

Well, I thought this was a very enjoyable cocktail bar – I had a Mojito and my husband had a Caipirinha; both had a generous pour and both were very tasty. I also had a non-alcoholic Ipanema which was incredibly refreshing. Service, like every place I’ve been so far in Berlin, was efficient and friendly. Yeah, it’s a bit more expensive, but they give you your money’s worth.

Good beer on tap, but this is predominantly a cocktail bar. I was a bit confused by whether or not its bar service or table service, as we seemed to have both going on around the venue.

Dress code was also unclear. We saw individuals is casual tracksuits, as well as groups of people in their Sunday best suits and dresses. Whilst it’s nice to be so inclusive and not be a stuffy pretentious place, it doesn’t give a cohesive aesthetic to the venue itself, which is decorated nicely in a contemporary upmarket style.

Nice place to stop if passing, but given Berlin’s sprawling nightlife, I’d not go out of my way for a trip here again as there was nothing particularly special.

Drinks prices are above average compared to other bars in Berlin. The price of a cocktail is approximately 15 euros. The bar is in a good location, in the city center. Atmosphere is wonderful there. Even on weekdays it is very fun, music plays, there are always a lot of people. Recommend this bar for sure!

We visited Hallesches Haus for brunch on our most recent visit to Berlin.
It is conveniently located right next to the Hallesches Tor station and is within the heart of Kreuzberg, an up and coming vibrant neighbourhood of Berlin.

Do not let the outside of the building deceive you! Walking down the passageway, you catch a glimpse of the wonderful outdoor dining area that is full of foliage and overhead lighting.
When walking into the building you are greeted with a gift shop/store that sells a variety of products from independent suppliers and retailers.

We chose to sit indoors, the restaurant/cafe area is incredibly spacious, well lit and aesthetically pleasing. There is table service if you choose to dine in, but this was not communicated upon arrival leading to a bit of confusion, but it was not a problem.

In terms of the food, unfortunately the menu on the day we visited was very limited. We were told this was due to an event being held at the venue later in the day. Because of this, we opted to have the “Full Haus” and can gladly say this was delicious! The menu appears to change during weekdays and weekends so I would look online beforehand if you are planning a visit.

Service was quick and the prices reasonable for this area of Berlin. The staff were friendly and there was a particular English member of staff that really stood out amongst the rest in the best kind of way, unfortunately we did not get his name!

If you are in the area, I would highly recommend a visit to Hallesches Haus.

The cappuccino is really delicious. I love the coffee strength and arome. Very well made.
I also tried the carrot cake (and I am not a big fan of carrots) and it turned out to be the best carrot cake I have tried ever. Rich taste, moist, smooth with some chunks, very balanced cake to frosting ratio, I just fell in love!
Also the atmosphere is warm and lovely, the place is spacious with good music in the background. Some tables have (no laptop) sign on them but others don’t, I see people working here on laptops normally.

Highly recommended

In search of a cocktail place, we went down here for dinner. The prices are higher than what the website or the pictures show.

At first we thought we were too close to the street but then we changed our minds by the end of our drinks.

Good food, good cocktails, great service, one reduced star just for the prices!

To all the tourists who wants visit here, you might be overcharged lots by some staffs there. Be careful don’t get rip off by them.

I went there on Christmas Eve and had a no sugar coke, sparking water, a aperil spirits, a pasta, I be charged 59 euro, they didn’t offer any bill and I didn’t realize it was a trick. We also paid another few dollars for their tips. I asked a receipt after I paid but I didn’t check at the time.

After i back to hotel I checked the receipt It’s only 39 euro we should pay. And it wasn’t a real receipt it’s more like a bill. it doesn’t shows any information of how much and the way I paid, only shows how much i have to pay.

It was awful experience to me because it’s first time I visited Berlin from Australia.

I wouldn’t recommend tourist to come here as they might rip off your money while you are relaxing on your holiday.

They did it on a Christmas Eve just make feelings awful wasted time to have awful memory at this restaurant!

Update 25/12/2023
I went to talk with their manager.
He was nice and after understand what happened last night. He apologised for it and returned the amount from overcharge.

The place is great. The menu is really unique, personally I went with the buzzworthy which indeed got me very buzzed with 30% alcohol for €12.50. The decor is amazing and the ordering is all by phone. There is a free limoncello shot for 5 star reviews, but it truly does deserve those reviews. There is also a dungeon playground with darts, pinball and a dance floor. We also got a free bottle of tap water without asking for it, which was very appreciated. I can only recommend checking out this place

What an amazing wonderfully weird and special place for a drink and nibbles. Tom runs a tight ship with a superb and bizarre experience ticking all the right boxes. The drinks are something to behold. No spoiler’s, but this little gem made my visit to Berlin! Lots of fun to be had here. I will truly never forget the mind bending oddness in all the right ways.
