I really enjoyed my first class at Cumbancha with the instructor Alexandro. The instructor is very skilled and switched between various modalities of teaching. For example, by demonstration to create an intuitive understanding of the basics, then on a more technical level. Moreover, he was regularly monitoring progress of the attendees and providing feedback accordingly. He is also very patient and kept us all in good spirits all the time.
My favourite part was how Alejandro took time to explain how the leaders should signal their intentions to the followers, and how the followers should interpret those signals. I never had that crucial bit of information explained to me before, which made it a bit awkward for to lead. Now I feel much more confident about it.
The next day after the lesson I went to dance and could apply the things I learned very effectively, so for me, the investment really paid out.
All in all, I can recommend Cumbancha if you want to increase your proficiency and enjoyment of Salsa.

Cumbancha is one of the most friendly Salsa school in Berlin. They welcome everyone with open arms and offer multiple Latin dances for all levels. I particularly enjoy their Salsa Cubana courses. They also have a great operations team who would frequently organise events, intensive courses, workshops and also work extensively to maintain leader follower balance in their courses.
LaFamilia perfectly fits them. I absolutely feel that I am a part of this family. On behalf of this family, I encourage you to take classes here .

Really bad experience with the rude and insecure owner of the school. A very negative person who can definitely kill your motivation if you want to try dancing. By the way, even a booster is not enough for accessing the studio, you still need an additional schnell-test, A chance to squeeze out a few more bucks from the dance enthusiasts.
