I love book stores. To have a place so full of stories and knowledge and opinions and humanity all in one place is a treasure I fear many miss. This one does a decent job of representing the genres and popular authors. However I feel like many places it has given in to trends that reduce its ability to be part of forming society. It's wonderful to find Hugendubel again in this area! The store is cozy and welcoming, the selection of books seems to be well curated (with several shelves of books in English as well), there are lots of seats to read and a reading café, as well as a kid's play corner with toys. The staff is friendly and approachable. A very good selection of children's books and games, as well as some nice little accessories and gadgets. Definitely a wonderful place to spend an hour or two and to take home some beautiful literature or a gift for a loved one.

Downstairs they have a great Selection of Books & Games. For Example an Oscar Wilde Board Game. Even old Collector Editions of Classics and historic Maps of Berlin (Tucano:Inform:).
Tucano:I: was looking out for the Tucano:Cafe des Lesens: but it was gone, unfortunately.
