I’m so pleased that I found this venue. Such an amazing evening of music in an atmospheric setting.

Very comfortable and the right size for an intimate night of music. The band were amazing, and with the size of venue, you could really hear the energy and spirit of the musicians.

The staff were wonderful, there was a young lady training a new waiter and she was doing an amazing job, as well as the new waiter, he was very attentive and if I needed a drink, it was a very swift service.

Excellent place I can’t recommend it enough… 10 out of 10 ❤️

The Tuesday jam sessions are of a very high quality, great musicians! Also the acoustics in the bar are incredible, no matter where you sit. I think this actually leads to the audience being more engaged and talking less in general, making the music stand out even more. My personal favourite jazz place in Berlin!

Full of great atmosphere and character, cosy, truly exposing you to a great sound, Jazz Club with Tuesday evenings being introduced by a witty owner Dimi, time filled with a great trio playing for the first part of the evening, followed by a jam session of aspiring jazz musicians (most of them playing like pros! so do not be misled!). Been there for the first time but certainly, definitely and categorically not the last! A place to go to for a solid quantity of Jazz for all live music lovers!

Great music as always. However, they removed the tables and packed the chairs in so tightly that any relaxed “jazz club feeling” was gone. The servers couldn’t even reach people any more

Shame, really. I always loved going there.

Amazing atmosphere! Loved the live jazz, beer and the local crowd. I came here twice on two separate trips to Berlin, and this venue has been the highlight both times. The Berliners were so friendly and my friends and I enjoyed our interactions throughout the night

Lovely music and performances. Can’t say the same thing for some staff members.
We wanted to make a reservation to celebrate a friend’s birthday so I asked on the phone if it’s okay to bring a cake of our own. They replied nicely and said we can as long as we order “something”.
As we arrived, the lady that showed our seats looked at the cake and gave us a rude, bitter attitude. We didn’t feel welcome from the beginning.

After everyone arrived we all ordered a drink and some things to eat.
Then I asked for some knife and plates to cut our cake. The lady from earlier then proceeded to say I was “misinformed” and that there was no way we could celebrate this birthday unless every single person ordered food.
Not everyone was hungry and that wasn’t what we were told. If that was a very strict policy as she claimed then it should have also been clearly stated on the phone. It felt like they made that policy right on the spot.

We wasted our time and money.
And we at least deserved an exception because they failed to inform us correctly!

Generally you can try to be nicer to all (!) your customers.

Great jazz and blues vibes here with regular performances. The food is straightforward—think traditional pub fare—nothing too fancy but it fills the gap if you’re there for the show. It’s a popular spot so definitely try to get there early, especially on nights with live music, to grab a good seat. Otherwise, you might end up in the back rooms where the stage isn’t directly visible, though they try to accommodate with TV screens showing the performance. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is always buzzing.

Huge portions for the prices and everything was fresh/tasty.

Very poor ventilation on summer days and you can’t open the windows, just sit together in a packed room in sweltering heat. The place is quite small, gets packed every night and I understand the service staff have their hands full, but one of them was quite rude and this was very off putting. The waitress for our table was very empathetic and delightful to interact with, but the one who was seating us when the bar was completely empty at 6 pm would barely listen to our requests before saying ‘No’. The food sometimes nails it and the last time I really enjoyed it. This time it was quite average and not worth what you pay for it

By far my favorite bar in Berlin. You can have Funky jazz at everyday of the week, paired with delicious cocktails and the perfect ambiance.
My personal favorite is the cocktail “what the funk“. Absolute delicious and fresh.
It’s by far not a secret spot anymore and it’s hard to get a spot, but it’s worth the wait!

I’ve been here twice and had a fantastic experience both times. The atmosphere is so great, the drinks are really creative and delicious, and the music has been excellent. The only thing was that on one occasion they seemed to be having a sound problem, where the piano was way too loud in the PA at the back, blowing out the speaker and degrading the quality of the sound. But I imagine that’s not the norm.

This bar is my only good memory in Berlin! The weather was bad that day, it was very windy and I was caught in the rain. Because I was traveling alone, I was arranged to sit near the door during dinner, and I was blown by the cold wind for a long time. Later, I walked to this bar and wanted to listen to some music. The ticket selling lady at the door received me very kindly. Because I ran out of cash and couldn’t order a drink, the beautiful waitress told me that it was okay, poured me a glass of water, and told me not to worry, it was free. The performance that day was chamber music, and I heard a very high-quality performance. The violin, piano, accordion and bass were perfectly coordinated, their skills were very superb, and the sound effects were also very good. The audience could see that they were people who listened to the music attentively. I don’t know if it was the B flat that saved me or the music that saved me. When I came out after listening to the performance, I felt very happy. I am very grateful for the existence of this bar and the music.

I’ve been to quite a few jazz clubs and have never been disappointed at one until I went to B Flat. The absolute worst place to be seated is their so-called lounge area or near the bar. From the bar staff using a loud blender multiple times DURING the performance to patrons in the back and the lounge chatting loudly, the distractions made it incredibly hard to enjoy the otherwise excellent performance. I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, I can’t recommend it unless you are sitting in the main room at the front.
Hamza Tariq

An odd experience. We went on a whim on Saturday night. A jazz quartet was on the bill, but we didn’t have a reservation. No worries, paid full price and then were ushered to the side room various reviewers have mentioned. In there, you get to sit in an uncomfortable chair and watch the performance via beamer. The audio quality in this room is truly terrible.

We managed to piss people off by being too loud, which I sort of get but would also blame the club: at 25 a head, are we to sit in silence when the sound quality in the “naughty room” is so poor? That really isn’t workable – either set it up so that the folks in that room won’t disturb the folks in the main room, or set it up so the audio quality in that room is at a reasonable level.

I will say that the people running it seem lovely, truly committed to promoting great music, and seem to get amazing talent and that if you are in the main room, it’s probably top notch. I guess it comes down to, if you care about your customers and you can’t sell a good product, don’t sell them a bad product instead. The side room is a bad product.

Since 2018, every time I come to Berlin I try to visit this legendary spot! Jazz lovers, don’t miss it! But be sure to make your reservation upfront as earlier as possible. Those who book first, get the best seats! Aperol Spritz was of good quality, while the draft light beer and white wine are rather simple. It seems like the current facilities are not sufficient to satisfy all the demand, I hope the owners will think of scaling 🙂 These beautiful musicians are worth playing for the bigger audiences!

Amazing music, great atmosphere but the bar service speed and organisation are really poor, we were waiting for the drinks for 40+ minutes, and were served waaay later than a lot of people who entered (and ordered) after us. Bar work seem to be really disorganized which was a bit of a bitter part of the overall wonderful and pleasant evening!

One of Berlin’s best jazz joints.

While it’s a whole in the wall kind of place, the musicians are well curated and you can find some of the best jazz performers here. However, check the shows on their web site first.

Cocktails are the classics, even if service is slow during performance times.

Cozy, intimate jazz venue with great performances. Employees are very friendly. Love this place!

To improve customer experience more,

1) allow customers to choose their seats online when they buy tickets
2) accept credit card payments
3) charge customers for drinks right before/after they get drinks. Charging all customers at the end of the concert = long queues, negative experience

A must-visit spot in Berlin if you’re a jazz fan. I used to go to A-Trane 15 years ago when I lived in Berlin, and they seem to keep delivering the same high-quality experience after all this time. Top jazz musicians and great sound quality is what makes A-Trane stand out. The place is tiny, so the setting is intimate: very close seats to the stage and to other people around you. The entrance fee of 25 Euros doesn’t include any drinks and it’s good to know that their service is pretty slow. I waited twenty minutes for a bottle of water and Moscow mule which didn’t look nor taste like a Moscow mule. For this reason I removed one star but I still highly recommend it to any jazz lovers.

Drinks were basic but the owner is very friendly! Beer and wine is fresh and ok priced. Club is part of some kind of music school so the group we saw was recording the next day and both very good and very excited with new music. Room is not cramped, sound is good. Highly recommended. We didn’t try all the jazz in Berlin, only 4 places, this one had the best vibe

The Loci Loft is not in the usual route for jazz clubs in Berlin. But it is worth the trip. It is very intimate, so you get to see the show up close. The musicians seem to enjoy the short distance to their public. On the night i visited, the band was Monsieur Pompadour (violin, two guitars, and a base). They played songs in English, French, Italian, Finnish, Spanish and German and they made the place into a party. Someone played a saw, a ukelele, an accordion and God knows what else. The Loci Loft has a bar that sees good drinks. I was partial to their Pisco Sour. Highly recommended for a trip out of the usual loop of clubs in Berlin.
