I needed the zipper on my suitcase fixed in preparation for an upcoming trip the following week. On Monday afternoon, I called the store to ask for a quote over the phone, the shop owner told me 50. When I got to the store an hour later with my suitcase, he took a brief look at it and suddenly upped the price to 60. I asked him why and he explained it was because he only had a “very strong” 10mm zipper in stock to replace my 5mm. He demanded cash up front for the job, but when I asked him for a receipt, he said that would be 15 euros more. Again, I asked why. He told me his typical rate is 120 and that a receipt for less would discredit his business. In the middle of our conversation he made a show of aggressively ripping the zipper from my suitcase (it really was not necessary to disembowel it in front of me…), then told me it would be ready for pickup the following Monday. I told him I wouldn’t have much time to pick it up on Monday, as I’d be preparing for my trip, and asked if he could finish by Saturday. He agreed, under the condition that I write a google review (so, well, here it is). I requested he message me when my pickup was ready, and he said he would. His message never came. And when I went back to the shop the following Monday to pick up my bag, I was disturbed to discover he’d sloppily glued parts of my bag together that he’d torn. I told him this wasn’t the service I expected, and he offered I wait another 30 minutes for him to add even more glue. I declined and I asked for discount for the poor service. Naturally, he refused and offered no apology.
I definitely will not be going back. But to be fair, aside from the price bait-and-switch, poor customer etiquette, presumable tax evasion, lack of update, sloppy workmanship and audacity to suggest wasting even more of my limited time, the zipper is actually quite strong.

The alteration was done perfectly, you can’t even tell something was done.
The dry cleaning was done carefully. They didn’t want to aggresively clean the piece of clothing, so they informed me of the risks and asked me if I wanted to have it cleaned for a second time, free of charge.
Depending on how busy they are, they’re fast: I could pick up my stuff the next day.

I had some repairs done to two of my jackets which turned out well. I asked her to repair the hole in both of my jacket pockets. Unfortunately I have had to decrease my star rating as one of my jackets was returned with a new hole in the sleeve. She said it was there before but it is a very large and obvious rip and I wore this often before bringing it in for repair and it was DEFINITELY not there before. I’m quite disappointed that she did not own up and offer to fix it.

These jeans are more expensive than jeans from many other brands. Okay, I thought that meant they were of higher quality. I bought one pair.
After a little more than a year the fabric wore out at the very bottom and near the pockets, and threads were sticking out. The repair took about a month, but within a couple of weeks, they were back almost to the same condition as before the repair.
After some time, a worn spot appeared in the crotch area, which eventually turned into a large hole. I’m used to wearing a single pair of jeans for at least two years, but not in this case.
I’d better try another brand.
Update: after getting the jeans back, I have to say that they repaired the small cut really well. So my initial statement of “any tailor does it for 5 €” might be out of line. 4 stars

We had one item that particularly required a lot of work. This was a snow suit for our dog. The suit was too long and had to be completely opened up and re-sewn. We also had a zip replaced with a better quality one that opened both sides so we can get our dog lead in (using a lead was not part of the original design of the suit).
