This is my university libary and honestly, it's kinda dissapointing. Firstly, the cleanliness of the toilets does not meet the expected standard. They are often unclean and unhygine. Secondly, the opening hours, from 9 AM to midnight, are a drawback. In comparison to other libraries in Berlin that operate 24/7, this limitation can be inconvenient for students with diverse schedules. Another challenge is the difficulty in finding available seat place for studying. It seems there are not enough seating options to accommodate all students, making it challenging to secure a quiet place for study.
On a positive note, the library boasts a diverse collection of books, maintains a peaceful atmosphere, and has helpful staff. Additionally, there's a nice cafe providing a relaxing break from studies, and a variety of study spaces to choose from.

Most people in the reviews don’t really understand the complexity behind running a university library in Germany. This library is relatively well managed (toilets could be a bit cleaner though) and offers everything a student could need. Maintenance is efficient and the library staff are nice and helpful people. The system around the library is a bit hard to navigate but once you get used to it, you can see that it has a lot to offer in regard to research and many other services.
There are always a bunch of disrespectful people who take calls inside the library or chat with each other as if they’re in a café, it’s not the library’s fault. However, I do think the library staff should definitely be more stern with them.

Well collection of books in this library. Multi-stored building, well organized and well maintained. Opening hours are 9:00 to 24:00, exception is on Saturday that is 10:00 to 24:00. It remains close on Sunday which might not be good for all. Just 5 minutes walking distance from S-bahn Zoologischer Garten. A canteen is in the ground floor. So sometimes noise comes out from the canteen. Unfortunately students can't use their ID or Mensa Card for the locker rather than have to bring their own lock. It's a bit irritating.

my biggest complaint is all around the varyingly weak signals throughout the library. having internet is key for a work station and needing to navigate the library to find a spot that has consistend internet can be a pain. apart from that very decently organized

Nice studying place in principle but at least one completely inconsiderate man in my direct vicinity every single time I go there. I used to go over and say something but they'll just multiply. There's one talking ON THE PHONE at the neighboring table RIGHT NOW. Hope you're having a nice chat, say hi for me.
