Absolutely electrifying. Spectacular, and a must see if you go to Berlin. The performers were incredible and it was the best show I had ever seen. Every time amorher act came out you didn’t think you could top it but it kept getting better and better!
Victoria Smart

we went there to watch Falling in Love with the kids. The choreography is amazing and the music the whole show is breathtaking.
I just felt that it may not be recommended for young kids below 9 years old.
The scenes of the trampolines and the acrobatic dance were on another level.
Elie Gemayel

Love the shows there. I took my teenage girls for the first time and they were totally awestruck.
We saw “falling in love”. The two main protagonists were girls which added a nice modern touch to the story.
The stage technology is mind baffling especially the use of waterfalls and circular pool in the stage centre that can change its depth, fountains etc.
Also loved the cancan and that on closer inspection the guys were sure to hold their own in strut and dance. One of my daughters didn’t even realise that men were interlaced!
Great that they did summer holiday performances this year.
Claudia Rayner

Impossible to explain the “falling in love” show. Not much of a story line but plenty to look at – amazing stage, costumes, lighting! We went for the cheap seats (row 9 seat 4 and 5) which had a perfect view as we had heard mixed reviews! Well worth what we spent (I don’t know that the more expensive seats are worth the extra). Not for the faint hearted or small kids but definitely good value for a 2 hour show
Deirdre Ní Dheá

We had an amazing time at Friedrichstadt-Palast watching the “Falling in Love” show. The performance, effects, lighting, and music were outstanding! The costumes were incredible, and the decorations with Swarovski crystals added extra magic to the show. The wardrobe service was free and not crowded, but the restrooms were quite busy during breaks. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and we highly recommend it.

Really bad organization yesterday in Trickys Venue, still in the middle of the show the people was searching for the seats, I order a couple of drinks (5€ for a Limonade) and I say to the girl in a Bar that the drinks aren’t cold enough but she doesn’t understand me.
Then TRICKYs Concert I was dissatisfied, the sound was ok, but nobody listened Tricky at all, someone screamed “We can’t hear you” two times and if you whisper and the microphone doesn’t work properly…what a pity coz the place is really nice.
Noon Hai

I was at the Air concert last weekend. The place was bewitching and the acoustic astonishing. I appreciated that we were free to go almost everywhere in the building and that we could keep the beer glass. Such a priceless memory!
Under the stage the weather felt a bit tropical, maybe it was due to my excitement! And I did not know yet that I would meet my favorite rock stars outside of the venue…
The staff was competent, accommodating, soft-hearted, unselfish and gentle.
PS: If the queue for the beer is too long down there go on the upper floors!!!
Lisa Goasdoué

Always worth to spend a night at the theatre.. great atmosphere , great musicals, nice people and quite comfy seats .. one star missing as the refreshment area is very small and it can take nearly the whole break to get a drink – and as the Glas is not allowed in the auditorium you are forced to buy a special plastic cup with a horrible paper straw to refill your drink and avoid pouring it down…
Evi Napetschnig

Watched Kudamm 56. A great Show, well done.
There were long queues outside the theatre due to covid controls – vaccination proof, negative test and passport. If its cold and wet come prepared!
Because of this the show started about 20 minutes late. Masks were worn during the performance. Drinks can be pre-ordered for the break and these were well placed and signed.
Lovely theatre with decent views of the stage. Seats in the Rang/Loge can be very tight if the show is booked out.
Jon Kernow

The location is beyond beautiful. And the staff was friendly (except at the door).
Unfortunately, there were a lot of things that made an evening that was supposed to be beautiful, really hard to enjoy. The queuing at bars was ridiculously long and not enough people were working there. By the time it was our turn to order, we were told we can’t take the glasses inside the theater, which is understandable. So, we ordered four plastic cups of white wine and were told there was no more white wine left… Then we ordered beer, but there were only two plastic cups left (that we had to share with four people). Ah yeah, and we had to pay to use the plastic cups (no Pfand). As we reached the doors to enter the concert hall, we were told by security, they had to ask their supervisors to open the door (first act), so we had to wait with plenty of people outside until someone came to open the door. After a while we got in and saw some people sitting inside on our seats with glasses (the staff had told them to sit on our seats even though they were supposed to be seated on the other side). One speaker on top was not working at all and it was extremely hot inside. Kind of ruined the experience even though Sampha is one of my favorite artists.

Really beautiful place, I was there for a sold out concert. I was sitting in 5th row and it was enough to see live performances.
Everything was so arranged by staff.
Sahar Zamanifar

A beautiful, old and traditional theatre in the heart of Berlin. I attended there a concert for Opeth which I enjoyed very much the acoustics and light effects this theatre can offer. I was seated relatively quickly, bathrooms were clean, they have a drinks booth, but nothing to eat. The chairs are small and not very comfortable
Loay

There was a concert of Leipzig Orchestra together with Diary of Dreams and VNV Nation. We were sitting in the Rang, and it was quite easy to find because they have perfect navigation with numbers on the doors.
It was a bit awkward drinking beer in this charming palace, but all people were doing that. So we do 🙂
Svetlana Melnik

Very confusing entrance to the venue, took more than 20′ to get in. Then they force you to store your bag in the garderobe which costs 6€ and takes another 10 minutes due to the lines…
The space inside is ok, but not that well kept and letting people in with drinks to a place like this of course makes one having to hear kicking on glass sounds all night which is not a good idea in a quiet classical music concert.
Carlos Rosão

Really nice venue, friendly staff, enjoyed my evening there…

Beautiful experience and perfect organization of all details and services. Opera had English subtitles as well. Smooth entry and cloth checking.

I went to watch Carmen the 21st of September. We were seated far away but we could see and hear with absolutely no problem. In the break it was impossible to go to the bathroom – I don’t understand why they don’t have more of them. All the staff treated us very politely and nice.
sara rodriguez

My shared experience with this place its about the surrounding elements l. First to mention would be the underground corridor between the walkboard in front of the Opera and the subway station. The walls are decorated with murailles that evoques the great composers from 18 to 20th centuries. The subway stations its an industrial monument by it self. A wonder!
Mircea-Bogdan Tănăsescu

Wonderful production of Respighi’s La Fiamma and Wagner, Tannhauser! Amazing soloists, choir and orchestra
Enrique Plasencia

It was a pleasure for me to experience such an activity, a place to go and see. Acoustic, employees, space design, floor plans, Performed game was great. If you can follow the show from a foreign language with subtitles without getting tired. Products and drinks sold before the show are particularly high quality. You can see many people from different cultures and countries here. We commented on the game with an American couple. I got information about other games from them. Its capacity was large enough and very good for incoming people. Again, tickets close to the stage may be preferred instead of the cheapest ticket. Easy to reach and safe. But I wish the games to be more frequent and their activities increased.

Beautiful building; enjoyed the performance, particularly Aida Garifullina (Liù). Bar staff very friendly – but why no Riesling!

This was my second time visiting the oper. It was just as magical as the first time! We had some drinks before the show, which were a bit on the expensive side. It was also possible to eat before the opera! Our coats were taken care of, free of charge. We absolutely loved the opera we visited and the opportunity to explore the gorgeous building. The only “bad” thing we have to say, please make the merch of the oper available in adult sizes! We’ll definitely be back for a third visit!
Anne-Mijn Geers

The tickets are actually not expensive for the show I watched, and the whole theater is really good!

The Berlin State Opera house is a wonderful building, which makes you feel being in a fairytale with all the marble constructions with gold accents in combination with the enormous chandeliers. The Berlin State Opera house offers: Ballet (modern and classic such as Swan Lake), Opera and classical music concerts. This place is worth a visit even if you are not into classical art performances. Prices are depends on the type of performances but tickets for 10 euro are available for some.

Last week I went to see Mad Magic Show. I would say I was very impressed. The interiors, arrangement, decoration ,sitting arrangement, stage settings were very good. Over all it was very good memorable experience. I will go again with friends and family. It is highly recommended.

Wintergarten is an institution in Berlin and regardless the show worth the money simply unforgettable location and the welcome and Good bye from the iconic doorman absolutely sweet and daring – I prefer the Brulesque shows here.

I have seen quite a few Varieté shows but the Golden Years show still impresses me. The live band was really great (probably because I like the music very much). No cheesy songs but one that suits the program perfectly. The performance was great. The enthusiasm! My favourite are the dog Lulu and the transgender artist Fritz(could have gotten his name wrong). I even cried watching the Marlene Dietrich “where all those flowers gone” show. Very touching.
Chia-chen Lehahn

Went to the 90s show and i have to say, great space, nice show and very polite and helpful employees. Unfortunately, the food was quite underwhelming, especially for its price. My partner paid 32 euros for an okay schnitzel.
Ps. Beautiful interior design at the bathrooms, recommend to check them out
Anastasios Ptr.

Cool vintage theatre with SUPER eccentric restrooms. Great show, and super friendly service. Wish they had a bigger drink menu, or just serve as a “open bar” but the drinks we ordered were good nonetheless. The show it self was a lot of fun and really gets the crowed hyped and involved, would surely return here for another show!

This was my first time being in this building , and it was for an express Concert and I must say I loved it so so much.
Firstly the staff on ground to direct you to your seat are so so nice , warm and welcoming. The interior decor in this building is STUNNING !
As for the classical concert I attended , it was beautiful and conducted to perfection. Loved every bit of it .
Lawal Dele

Bought a ticket last minute and was very impressed by the whole experience.
B McGlamery

A beautiful building, classics of architect Karl F Schinkel, early in the 19th century.
Originally built as a theater venue, however, considered by many (not by me) as one of the best acoustic halls is Europe. It actually contains a large and a small hall, therefore, often running more than one show at the time.
Personally, I don’t think the acoustics to be extraordinary, as a matter of fact, if t wasn’t for all the acoustic reflectors added more recently, it probably would be quite poor. This, as far as I can tell, because the halls are rectangular and flat, with no noticeable features that would enhance acoustics. Also no features that enhances the audiences view of the stage, particularly once you’re seated past row 10.

Fantastic experience here when we came and saw “Piano Battle”.
Amazing show in a unique auditorium. You are sat at tables with waiter service for food and drink.
You have to order 20 minutes before the performance to get your drinks, so come a little earlier, and you can always have a 2nd drink at the intermission.
The cloakroom is €1.50 so bring some cash for that. Another piece of advice is that there is really no need to pay for the top tickets as we had really nice views from where we were in the “cheap seats” that are off to the side of the stage. If anything, they seemed better as they are slightly elevated here.
Well worth the trip to take in a German show, and they have a number of restaurants nearby, including Zollpackhof, for a perfect pre show dinner.
Highly recommended, and do take a look at the website for future shows.

Beautiful old theatre with wonderful staff. Be aware, it is terrible for anyone with mobility issues. Stairs galore. Not at all an accessible building.
Nevertheless, we had a very nice time watching Circa in this theatre.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Chamaeleon Theater in Berlin to watch the acrobatic show *WOLF*, and it was a truly unforgettable experience! If you enjoy acrobatic performances, you’re in for a treat—*WOLF* is a mesmerizing blend of physical prowess and artistry that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.
The atmosphere in the theater is absolutely lovely, creating an intimate yet exciting environment that enhances the overall experience. The staff are incredibly nice and attentive, adding to the warm and welcoming vibe. The manager was particularly kind, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that all guests felt comfortable.
One of the unique features of the Chamaeleon Theater is the in-show service provided by the waiters. They offer a perfect menu, allowing you to enjoy a meal or drinks without missing a moment of the performance. I was pleasantly surprised with a welcome rose, which added a special touch to the evening.

Just a short walk from the S-Bahn, it’s easily accessible and surrounded by vibrant shops, cafes, and restaurants. The historic charm of the area adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.

Amazing performance, service and place! Very friendly and helpful staff. The performers were just unbelievable, we were hooked to their movements all the time. I loved how they are very cohesive as a group, but you can still capture their personal styles. Definitely recommend it!

We watched Wolf by Circa ensemble and it was spectacular. The
Chamäleon venue was pretty with it’s old style.
Warning for elderly people or people with disabilities: There are quite a few stairs to get to the main room from the street level and a lot more to get to the bathroom.

A great place to watch a show which in my case was to see again Sukhishvili the Georgian folk ballet. Incredible performance of dance and storytelling. Pity there’s no programme available to purchase. I know each dance is unique. The male dancers dance on their toes which is incredibly exciting.

Went here to watch a beatles revival band. The theatre itself is well organised. I like how you can order your drinks for the break. They give you a receipt with a table number on it and the drinks are waiting for you. Update. Watched Murder on the orient express. Very well done. Nice experience.
Stillapatmike

The place is a bit old, and to reach it you need to pass through a mall if you want to reach it faster, otherwise you’ll have to go around the mall. The event i saw was Forever – The King of Pop Show, it was ok, sound wise it was ok as well.
I didn’t like how they organized us to enter the room, it wasn’t that smooth. Overall the place is ok.
Alessandro Stefan

Getting to your seat is a bit difficult, not many corridors to pass. It’s not steep enough so if you’re behind a very tall person you likely won’t see properly. Still it’s cozy and enjoyable. Sufficient toilets for ladies so the queue didn’t take long.
Patricia G

Went to see the nutcracker last week. The rating has nothing to do with the play itself.
In general it’s a good theater. We sat in back of the ground level. I don’t know if it’s because of our seating but the sound was a bit off at times. Anything else was good. We could see the stage very well and the staff was friendly.
