I will not write anything about the quality of services of those places that are located on the territory of this complex. My review is about the general impression of architecture, appearance and emotions that all this things caused in me. Charite is a clinical complex located in four districts of Berlin, and I was at one that is near the railway station by the river Spree: A very large fenced area on the territory of which there are many old buildings of different orientations. These are just hospitals, and buildings of individual medical specialties with laboratories, and administrative building, and, as I understand, there is a university is here too. All buildings are with beautiful old architecture. Sometimes quiet quickie work was encountered, such as the ugly painting of some walls, after which the color difference looked ridiculous. But overall, the complex left a very pleasant aesthetic impression.

I don’t remember the names of everyone on the crew that tended to me, but all I can say is: “Wow!” The level of care, and explanation of everything that NEEDED to be done is unprecedented. This is coming from an American, who was in the Marines (these guys were just as trustworthy as Navy Corpsman!).
To the crew that dealt with me on the night of the 24th or 25th of July (guy that fell down an escalator/moving staircase going from the Ibis to the HBF just looking for a bite to eat, and required 11 staples to the head), THANK YOU to you and everyone I met between that escalator and the hospital (Railway Police, Krankenwagen, etc). The reason I was so calm and relaxed was because I felt safe and had no worry about being ripped off (unnecessary medical care simply to make money). I have no idea how the German public regards their healthcare system, but colour me impressed!

The staffs are friendly, and they saved my friend, so 5 stars for sure. However, if it’s possible, I hope I’d never need to come here even they have a great view outside of the window. Stay healthy

Nothing but praises as well as my heart felt gratitude.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Surgery went well. Two-night stay to check against thrombosis. Got a two-bed room with a private bathroom. The doctor told me to eat lightly after the surgery, but the hospital kept providing really good food, and even afternoon tea between meals. Couldn’t resist at the moment, I could regret it later. Hands down the best hospital I’ve ever stayed in. Hopefully never again.

Excellent clinic with competent and kind doctors and nurses. I was treated there by Dr. med. Levon Khachaturyan (an excellent doctor who communicates very well). I stayed 2 nights after my surgery and despite being very nervous, everyone was extremely nice. I was afraid for my surgery especially as I don’t speak fluently German. However, they all spoke English (even the nurses tried to which I’m very grateful for) and the doctor came to check up on me every morning during my stay to update me and check if I have questions. Their professionalism really impressed me and I left the clinic with more clarity and confidence in my health. Thank you so much for your care and I highly recommend this place!
Marie-Christine Ramanantsoa

Where to start? I was supposed to undergo surgery with another doctor there who was quite weird and had a cold. When I asked if he was ok – he was like „super fine“ but then called in sick. So that is the reason I deduct one star – as I came from abroad to have this done and I would have expected the doctor to be mature enough to anticipate that he is unable to operate. Anyway – it was also luck as Dr. med.
Levon Khachaturyan took over and I must say a he and his team did a good job. He took the time to meet me before the surgery, explained everything and squeezed me into his busy schedule. Overall – most of the staff is quite professional & friendly (reception, Covid test station, station) – you always have one or the other encounter where you are left wondering if they really should do the job they are in. At the station – every single nurse was great – they even motivated me to get up an walk. One thing that could have been a little better is the “privacy” part. I know it’s a hospital – but I had a single room – and most of the time people just walked in. I think it could be better if privacy was respected a little more. Other than that – I was happy with the service during the procedure. Post procedure – was also okay, not quite how I would have done it – I think there are less painful ways to remove the stitches.

A superb clinic for minimal invasive surgery in Berlin. Thank you to Dr. Surgeon Khachaturiyan, nurses Silke, Ida and Florian + others (whose names I was not in a shape to remember, unfortunately) for their diligent care, clear communication, and of course, patience. The facility has a cozy Patients’ Garden to have walks, stroll under Wisteria, smell beautiful spring blossoms like Lilac, and take breaks on benches surrounded by Daphne (in Spring). What more can one need to convalesce?
Here’s to everyone’s good and ever-bettering health and vitality

NOT INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY
Please learn some basic german phrases if you want to stay here. The doctors speak in english (only when they feel like it), nurses DONT. My day- nurse was strict post OP I was in so much pain yet she was very strict about waking up at 7 and having breakfast. The doctor was very nice pre surgery consultation, spoke in english was lovely. Post OP I found him cold. Im still learning german so medical terms are hard to understand so I even told him “können wir auch in Englisch sprechen” because I wanted to ask some questions regarding my operation and health, all of this was during post OP. He just ignored it, i felt so frustrated and sad. I mean the doctor just said “no sex, no sport and no bathe for 1 month” in german and went to other rooms. Im sorry I didn’t knew patients cannot ask any questions regarding their operation. Please be kind to ALL patients.
My night nurse was very kind. And the food was really good and nutritious. Im just sad regarding my experiences with the doctor and one of the nurse.

I had a really good experience, both staff and doctor were nice, efficient and calm enough to talk to me even though I don’t speak German fluently
I had a small surgery and everything went well 🙂
Vinícius Fernandes

Truly excellent doctor who listens to you and tries to resolve your issues (and not just writes a prescriptions). I wish all doctors would listen as much as Dr Iankovski. We are new to Berlin and we are so happy that we found such a great urologist!
Xenia Jung

When I came to the doctor, I expected to feel support and understanding. Instead of this, I was feeling super uncomfortable. Doctor Iankovski was rude and arrogant. Always interrupted me, so I could not explain properly my issue.
When I entered the room, the first thing what he said, that I should pay, because Health Insurance does not cover it. Excuse me, WHAT?! I was making an appointment, so they could provide this information on the phone earlier, so I would know it! Even, when I came, the lady on reception did not say anything to me about this. Also she made some stereotypical resist question about my second name, which made me feel stuck. I did not even know how to react on it.
I asked for help. I expected to be understood and heard. But instead of this I received the worst service ever and now I should pay for it!
I will contact my Insurance company and provide this information too. Also I will have a consultation with the lawyer. I an not gonna pay for sad a bad service.
Norman Shelest

Always very friendly, empathetic and professional. The nurses and receptionists are organised and helpful and Dr. Iankovski is the best with delicate issues!
Tokyo Tom

Visited this doctor few times already. Each time his prescriptions completely resolved my issues. Also had small surgery and it was done in really professional way by Dr. Iankovski. Have only good experience for now and if any issues will appear – will come back again to him. One more thing that Dr. Iankovski has latest modern medical equipment in his office which is really good IMHO.

Huge thanks to Meoclinic for everything.
I was very lucky that I ended up with such professionals as Prof. Dr. med. Michael Akbar and his team.
Initially, I only planned to examine my back and then look for a clinic where the surgery would be performed best. But after the examination and consultation with Professor Michael Akbar, I immediately decided that I no longer needed to look for another doctor or hospital for surgery.
And in August 2024, I underwent a complex operation here to correct scoliosis.
I don’t have enough words to say how satisfied with the result I am. First of all, the appearance of my back, now I have the beautiful back despite the fact that I have had scoliosis since childhood and I had the operation when I was 38 years old. Even a long scar after the surgery looks very thin and neat. Secondly, my back pain with which I lived for almost 8 years every day has completely disappeared. Even now, 4 months after the operation, I am still pleasantly surprised every day that my back no longer hurts. A lot of thanks to Professor Michael Akbar.
I am also very grateful to all the other doctors, nurses, the physician-rehabilitator, kitchen and cleaning staff who helped me during my treatment at Meoclinic. All the employees of this hospital are the kindest and most attentive people as you can imagine.
For many years, the upcoming operation on the spine was something that scared me very much. But thanks to all these people, everything turned out to be not so scary at all.

Isaak Fischinger: One of the worst human being I met in my life.
Zero empathy, don’t listen to you, knows everything better than anyone, unable to think outside the box.
He can’t even perform a right anesthesia, so you feel every stroke of the scalpel in your eye.
I thought it was normal so I didn’t complain, until somebody else did the exact same surgery on my eye.
Then I realized that you don’t feel any pain when the anesthesia is well performed.
People like this shouldn’t have the right to practice, they are dangerous.
That guy doesn’t deserve your time and money.
Better for him to not cross my way in the streets of Berlin.
I hope it will help you all to not put your health in toxic hands.
The Dirty Live Sessions

Unfortunately Google has nothing else to do than censoring my opinion which is objective and realistic.
In this clinic I suffered Loges syndrome which costed me my right leg. I also caught a pseudomonas aeruginosa that makes my life a hell since then.
The surgeon failed the surgery with sensory and urinary after-effects but requested 52.000€ for his lousy job.
Because of him I have been fired from my job and the medical team doesn’t care and refuses to do anything, the surgeon doesn’t acknowledge his mistakes. 5 years of suffering after, we are now at the tribunal.
In the medical report provided, I even see written that the team would have performed an intervention that they didn’t perform because I had it done 5 years earlier!

The €669/€201, 7 minutes with the specialist, booked the same day, was great. The 44 minutes before, with tests totally unrelated to my problem (they hadn’t asked my problem yet), was as expensive as it was unnecessary. I’d had the identocal tests elsewhere a few weeks prior. 23 minutes after the end of my appointment…yep 23 loooonnnng minutes they had my bill ready €669 for 7 minutes. Um, no. Another 6 minutes €201 … more than half of which was eye tests that I had done weeks ago for nothing at the optometrist…and in the end, my diagnosis…gettin old…like I didn’t know
Kitchen Insider

I was in need of a prescription and, at the end I was sitting there for 1 hour for a consultation that I I didn’t ask to. Wanted to pay in advance cause, I wanted to know what was the bill before going any further, the receptionist said I could pay and also didn’t know how much the consultation would be. At the end got a 2 bills to pay that ended up in almost 600€ for a simple receipt. Service was very good but, make sure you have a private insurance or, ask prices before doing anything

One of the best doctor experiences in Germany I ever had. Dr. Herzig is a real professional, he can overview the problem from different angles even with a small input information and get all required examinations done for a proper treatment. He is very diligent in giving enough attention to a patient. Besides his professionalism, Dr. Herzig just has an outstanding personality and it’s a pleasure to talk to him. The whole team in the clinic is very friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommendation.

The doctor was really kind, helpful and friendly. He made sure that I didn’t feel tense. He explained everything in detail and answered any query I had with patience. I was told by another doctor underwent a surgery, when it didn’t seem necessary. The doctor here simply provided me medicines and which worked really fine. Really great experience!!

Dr. Hergiz is very competent doctor with a kind heart. I really grateful to him. He supported me and continued the treatment even when my previous private insurance was not giving answers about bills. Other doctor is also very good and doctors speak English also.

Amazing service, extremely professional with 30 years of knowledge. Highly recommend! Dr. Herzig dealt with me in a very kind and lovely way as I was extremely nervous. He fixed me up quickly with extreme care even though he had a waiting room full of unexpected patients, he took all the time I needed and I never felt rushed. Due to his professionalism and knowledge I was in and out of his office feeling 100% satisfied. If you do not have an appointment and just walk-in, expect to wait a bit since he has many fans, but the wait is well worth it and it’s not too long. Thank you Dr. Herzig and your team!!! I fully trust your service and team!!!!

After months of trying to get answers to my questions about the medication that was prescribed to me and having all emails ignored or generically answered (never recived the info i needed), I eventually decided to leave to more specialized praxis. I was told my file had to be picked up in person, during specific times, and that they were ready. I used my day off to go to the praxis, where I was told they weren’t actually ready and would be sent by mail. These people are either lazy, incompetent or really don’t care about their patients. Sace yourself the wasted time and frustration and go somewhere else

Doctor Haberecht is one of the most empathetic and professional doctors I have met in Berlin. She also has a lot of experience in the urology field including working at a clinic as a surgeon etc, and therefore I can trust her experience.
Having to go through multiple operations in different clinics, I had the chance to meet many other doctors who were not even close to her level of care and communication.
She understands the human side of her profession and she does he work professionally while still being fast and efficient.
She is an example for others in her profession to follow.
Also, her English is outstanding, which is not typical for doctors in Berlin.
Agon B

I can only praise this medical office. The reception staff was kind, empathetic and funny. And Dr. Haberecht was outstanding not only as a doctor but also as a person.
Alejandro Ayalde

If you can, make your appointment with Doctor Haberecht here. She is friendly, speaks English and is very professional. The other negative reviews on here reference male doctor ‘he’, not Dr Haberecht. LGBT+ friendly too.
Paul Roberts

I had a great experience with Doctor Kathrin Haberecht. She was extremely professional and had strong proficiency in English, which enabled an easy communication being myself not German. Unfortunately this is not to be taken for granted here in Berlin, too few doctors can speak professionally English. She also had knowledge of French language, which enabled her to understand my previous examinations (they were written in Italian). Regarding the medical experience, she examined me, gave me her opinion on various possible procedures and took the time to explain every single detail. She was friendly, trustworthy and took all the questions I asked. She also called me immediately when exams were ready and answered to my follow-up email in minutes. I think you cannot ask for anything better when you need an Urologist. I recommend.

As a new patient I was treated very efficiently and professionally. Would recommend to anyone in what sometimes can be a sensitive area of treatment.

I am super lucky for meeting Dr. med. Murat Gördük, without any doubt the best doctor I have ever met in Germany. Wasted time, doctor was rude, did not look like care much.
Started spending 2 minutes recommending other doctors with my native language even though it is mentioned he speaks English.
Did not give a chance to write their names down.
Made a quick check, ignored the complaints, almost did not explain anything and said we out of time even though I did not ask a half of what I came for. Just started to say „no, no time“ to any question.
Two months waiting for an appointment, 3 hours wasted on the way, 30 minutes wasted waiting in the line even though came on time, 5 minutes appointment – no new information, nothing written down.
Unfortunately can not recommend this doctor.
Глеб Воробьев

Dont even bother with this doctor. It’s like travel time as not compatible with technology. Oh but very fast to trying and charge you 60 euros for a check up.
Maik Yells

I went to this doctor with a prescription for a diagnosis. He made a very quick and short consultation, with few explanations, and refused to write down his conclusions in a report for the surgeon after giving me an Uberweisungschein to visit a surgeon.
Now that I have visited the surgeon, I understand why, the diagnosis was wrong.

Dr. Kheyri is an experience and friendly doctor. He attended me on exact time of my appointment which is a different culture in Berlin as you have to wait hours even you have an appointment.
