Customer Reviews
I had never have a good bike. The staff was very kind and helpful for choosing the right one for me. Don’t know if it’s the case for everyone, but price tag included very good chain lock, lights and services to customise parts to fit my body and preferences. 100% recommended for getting a great bike for good price.

I recently visited Bikeopia with a friend, both of us ready to spend around 500 euros each on bikes. Initially, the experience was great. Maurice, who seems to be the owner, greeted us with lots of energy and passion. He made us feel excited to buy bikes, even offering us a deal—two bikes that were originally 550-600 euros each for 1000 euros together, with locks included. We felt a bit pressured but were still interested.
However, things took a turn when I mentioned I wanted to consult my brother, who knows a lot about bikes. As soon as I Facetimed him, Maurice’s attitude changed drastically. He became hostile and made it clear that he didn’t like us getting a second opinion. My brother suggested that the bike Maurice picked might not be the best fit and that I should ask the store if they have something with different specifications, and this seemed to offend Maurice, who started making negative comments and even said he wouldn’t do business with “people like us” who want to consult others.
Despite all this, we were still willing to buy from him, but Maurice’s behavior made it impossible. At one point, he even accused me of recording him on my phone, which I wasn’t, and he commanded me to “put that sh*t away”.
In the end, we walked away without purchasing anything, even though we really liked the bikes and the prices. It’s unfortunate that Maurice’s attitude and ego ruined what could have been a good sale.
The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, but the way Maurice acted was incredibly unprofessional and off-putting.
additional notes: we took these photos with permission before Maurice became aggressive and volatile with us – he encouraged photos of the bikes.
i was on a facetime call with my brother – not live online and nothing was being recorded.

This place is amazing! I went there because I wanted to repair an old bike but it was not worth the fix. Although, ended up buying one of their second hand ones and they have really affordable prices.
They were very patient, super nice! I highly recommend this place if you need a bike in Berlin.

I bought a used bike from this shop six months ago. The owner is a nice person, though it’s clear he’s more of a salesman, very business-oriented. His colleague, on the other hand, is genuinely friendly and approachable. He took his time and explained everything in detail. Unfortunately, the bike itself has been a major disappointment.
While the bike seemed good at first, it has required constant repairs. It’s a good bike but not in good shape. I’ve had to replace or repair almost every major part. Within the first month, I was back at the shop twice to fix issues that appeared immediately after purchase. All they did was replace a tube after my first flat tire and charged me €15 for it.
Since then, the problems have only gotten worse. The rear brake doesn’t work, I had five flat tires before realizing that the tires themselves needed replacing, one of the pedals broke after three months, and just recently, the gear system completely failed. The bottom bracket and chainring are also due for replacement. The bike now squeaks with every pedal stroke, making it so noisy that I don’t even need a bell—people hear me coming from a distance.
The price I paid was high, but it might have been justified if the bike had been usable without needing so many repairs. While both the owner and his colleague are very nice, I can’t rely on this shop to sell a bike that’s in decent condition or one that will last for any reasonable amount of time. Since all future repairs would be at my own expense, I’ve decided to handle them myself from now on.
Reply:
I’m sorry to disappoint but I got my invoice here. I’d love to get a refund. It’s not like my comment was all negative. Like I said – the people are nice, only the bike is trash. Probably not intentionally.

Maurice runs an really friendly neighborhood store with a great selection of vintage bicycles.
I couldn’t be happier with the one I bought, and Amedeo is always happy to help with all my bike related questions and issues.
Really wonderful service, couldn’t recommend it enough

Customer Reviews
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Every time I come here they help me fix my bike in the cheapest and best way and they do not judge me or try to upsell me on expensive things. Like other reviewers have said, they do not shame you for not knowing how to do stuff yourself or having a shitty old bike. They just help you with what you need and are so kind.
They have helped me with small repairs without a charge and the attitude and helpfulness of the staff here is just totally beyond anything I’ve ever experienced before. I wanted to install a back light which I brought to the store and they literally drilled me holes in a piece of metal to install the back light for me – it was exactly what I wanted to do but I didn’t know where I would find the exact right fitting piece of metal. And any other time I’ve been here the experience has been just as amazing. I would never take my bike anywhere else than here and highly highly recommend this place. And no problem to speak in English!
Linnea “Nina” Hjelm

Made an appointment online, dropped off the bike, got it back on the same day. Really easy process & communication. I can only recommend this shop.
Levi Cole

Most reliable, skilled bike shop I’ve found in Berlin. My bike isn’t the newest, and unlike some places, they don’t shame me or take me less seriously because of it. And they’re super nice.
B Frey

Really friendly and helpful staff! Everything you may need for small fixes is outside the store. The staff are always willing to answer all questions and help me fix the issue myself. Plus the store looks as authentic as it gets 10/10

Excellent location, excellent service. Thanks to Stefan and his team! This is where we started our 400 km bike trip from Berlin to Hamburg, retracing most of the route that my mother took in May 1945, on bike, as she fled the Russian army from Brandenburg to the town of Loose near the Danish border. Fahradsstation Berlin got us started with new bikes, panniers, repair kits – everything we needed!
Geoff Garver

Fahrradstation has a huge variety of bicycles – cruiser, electric bikes, kids bikes, tandems, and child carriers. Thomas assisted us in choosing the right bikes for our family. He was extremely patient as we tried several kids bikes and even a bike trailer. We settled on two urban bikes and the Babboe Big. The Babboe Big saved our trip! Our kids are pretty good bike riders. However, they would have been exhausted with the amount of riding we did. In three days we rode through Mitte to Tiergarten to KaDeWe to Kreuzberg, Neukölln, and Friedrichshain. The Babboe Big was easy to ride too. Thank you, Thomas and Fahrradstation!!
Laura Lou

We rented bikes here for 2 days while in Berlin. Professional, good prices, and great quality. The bikes worked perfectly and were exactly what our family needed. The man who helped us was extremely helpful and efficient and spoke English. They even had a carrier for our 5 year old which made seeing the city pleasurable. Highly recommended!
Anne Haggerson

We hired touring bikes to cycle from Berlin to Copenhagen. The bikes were in good condition and the route was stunning, I would definitely recommend it!
Caroline Cohen

Very kind, helpful and awesome people! My bike’s chain was loose and came off while I was in the area, so I found the shop here on Maps, stopped by and they put it back and tightened it up in 5 minutes – no charge. Def. recommend!

Derailleur is the only thing broken but repairman insists that the whole tire must be replaced.
I went their yesterday to have my derailleur replaced. I already purchased the spare part from Amazon so I could save significantly, instead of buying there for a higher mark-up. I got the greatest surprise in my life when the young repairman says that I need to replace the whole rear wheel which were relatively in good condition. Also, he said that the replacement part I bought doesn’t fit. He was clearly wrong. Talk about sustainability too when repairman wants you to pay for a new one despite of good condition !
Of course I do not believe this should be the case. walked out and went to the next Werkstatt where they happily fixed the bike and used the derailleur I brought.
Dear bike repair shops, a trip to a bike repair shop should not be a luxury.
Daniel Cruz

Lovely and friendly local bike shop with the best shop song in town. Had a bike check done last year on my city bike and this week they fitted some tyres to my road bike, not only very quickly but €20 cheaper than the quoted price, too! Superb place :)))

5/5 without a doubt! Ordered a V7 frameset. Fast reply through mail. Although the first order was returned to sender due to missing housenumber, they directly placed a new shipping order. Came within a few days.
Packed very well! I can’t wait to built it up! Rob deserves a raise

Nice bikes nice merchandise however the organisation is terrible. I waited 2 Months for a stem and 1 month for a bag. My friend also had a bad experience with his bike. I received emails that the stuff was ready to be picked up and it wasn’t there. When an employee is sick another one doesn’t take over the communication per email. At least the girl that manages their Instagram account is quite nice and tried to help me.
Sebastian Palm

Always great! Not just beautiful bikes but also fantastic service. I had a flat tire and couldn’t get the wheel off. Brought it to the shop where they only made a tiny bit of fun of me, replaced the stripped screw, made more fun of me for wanting to change the tube myself, and sent me on my way. The best!

Service disaster
I had two particular experiences with them which made me feel their service needs improvement.
1- Delayed Bike Delivery
Convinced by their products, I decided to buy one of their bikes in September 2023. I requested a specific paint color for the bike, which added extra cost to the final price. My bike was not ready for pick-up until January 2024, and there were issues with the paint job. I received nothing in return for their degraded service—no discount, nothing.
2- Very Slow Repair Service
After riding my bike twice a week for four months, the shifting system broke. I took my bike in for repair, expecting this to be covered by 8Bar since the bike is still relatively new and the shifting components should not break that easily. I could only get an appointment 15 days after the incident. When I dropped off my bike for repair, they told me it should be fixed in the next two days and that I would receive an email.
After waiting for a week and a half with no communication, I decided to call. To my surprise, the bike mechanic told me, “I found the bike. Sorry, can you let me know what we need to do to the bike again?
On top of that I got charged for the repair service and turns out the first bike mechanic had incorrectly installed the cables which led to the shifting cable being broke afterwards…
This shop is a complete disaster. They lose requests in their system, and everything takes an eternity. I am beyond disappointed and furious with their service. I bought my bike from them expecting solid support from a local bike shop, but I deeply regret this decision. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.
Luis Carlos Cruz

They won’t stand behind their warranty.
I had a carbon fork that started to delaminate. After providing pictures, they said they have never seen that problem before and blamed it on me using improper torque and denied the claim.
First of all, just because the problem has not been seen before doesn’t mean it’s automatically my fault.
Secondly, I’m just a home mechanic so my claims don’t carry the weight of a full service bike shop, but I still service bikes regularly and I know the importance of not over torquing carbon parts. I always used a torque wrench. I’ve certainly worked on other carbon forks that never had this problem.
I understand it’s essentially my word against theirs, but not happy with the customer service.
Response to 8bar’s response below –
If the issue wasn’t clearly visible in the photos provided, why did you deny the warranty claim instead of asking for additional photos? You only offered to take back the fork for inspection after I posted my initial review. Looks like you only care if your public image is at risk. If you’re going to be shady, how can I trust you to inspect the fork properly if I send it back.

Had a terrible experience at this bike store. The staff was rude and dismissive, and they gaslighted me when I brought up issues with my purchase. On top of that, they seemed unwelcoming to anyone who isn’t a local. If you’re a foreigner, avoid this place. Not worth supporting a business with such poor service and questionable attitudes.
Mário Bitencourt

Very nice and helpful staff! I really recommend to visit it with your bike problems.
César González

Here’s the thing — there’s one guy who’s really nice & professional, but his colleagues are so rude, especially one older guy who’s normally fixes the bikes. He was treating us really badly for no reason and because of that the nicer guy has more work so he’s not so available. I will not come back.
Yael Nakash

2/10. They fixed it but they changed way more than it is needed (Got a 2nd opinion from expert afterwards).
If you want to pay crazy money (2-3 times more than the market value) for repairs then it is a place to go.
Only speaking German, a lot of stars in reviews are questionable.
If you want to fix your bike for reasonable price, go to another place.
Estonman

Super helpful staff! Open on saturdays, fast to answer: they even helped me fix a non-bicycle related problem, highly recommend!

Went to the shop to get my rear derailleur fixed. They called me just 1-2 hours later to pick up the bike. It cost only 10 euros which is a good price, but it wasn’t a good job. The chain drops immediately and then a minute later again. I bring it back, they fix it, it doesn’t drop anymore, but still doesn’t work properly.
Apart from that the owner told me I need to replace the big chainring (that is almost brand new) and the chain as well. I was wondering, because my chain checker didn’t show wear above 0.5.
I went to two other shops to verify and both told me the chainring looks like new. The chain also got checked with a tool both times and was under replacement wear.
In the pictures you can see both the chain and chainrings.
I rarely write negative comments, but when an owner of a shop tells you to replace new components, that is really not okay.
Azer Aljović

Great service. My bike was really in bad shape and they totally made it like brand new again. Thank you so much
Antony Box

We’re blessed to have this shop in the neighborhood! They just fixed my flat tire very quickly and professionally. The whole process took less than half an hour on a Saturday afternoon. I’ll definitely come back if I need bike service again.
Anna Yudina

Super fast, absolutely good price and in less than 20 minutes they repaired my flat tire and did a general check. I highly recommend it. Plus they speak English
Luisa Turco

Extreamy bad and weird experience!
NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!
I hope google enable 0 stars option!
CONS
– staff was rude
– my front tire was leaking slightly over time so i asked repair and the guy told me he cannot repair. There is only option of replace the tire for 27€.
– lied about the delivery. I went there at 5 in the evening when whole shop was empty. They told be it can be fixed by today otherwise or by tomorrow. I was in rush so i gave them my bike! After 10 mins exact i went to the shop again to get my bike so that i can go to another repair shop, then the guy told me your bile is ready!
– i had asked him to check for the basic service of the bike as well and instead he come up that u need to change your bront and back brake and back tire with a bill of 141€ for which of course i denied
– whole vibe and atmosphere of this shop is very cold and untrustworthy
– now i need to visit another bike shop for basic service of the bike.
– seems fraud service, if everything is needed to be changed then one can buy those things and fit in their cycle instead of coming to repair shop!
– they accept card but their transaction doesn’t work. My DB card was not working and i had to visit near by atm to get cash to pay them!
PROS
– speak english
– quick service (unwillingly)
To shop owners – if u r doing business then be polite and make the visit worth, if for 10 mins job u r asking next day delivery, instead of tire repair u r asking whole replacement then something is wrong!
EDIT: ♂️
The way they have replied on the review represents how their employees would reply on their shop. You have proved my point. No wonder why are the other review with similar rating have the same opinion as mine. Instead of threatening of using my personal information, use customer feedback and improve the customer experience. I will share my experience with others on different platform so that they don’t have to witness what I did. Insulting customers online doesn’t bring prosperity. Also it would be great if you install microphone for your customer representative if you already invested in cameras. Also If you have issues with the term “Guys” then ask you representatives to introduce themselves or have name slips. Again improvement happens only when one accept the flaws instead of arguing. Enjoy!

Professional, friendly and helpful. You can clearly see that Tony is an expert in what he does and he speaks perfect English too.
Only downside is, it takes 3-4 weeks to get a full maintenance appointment, but it is worth the wait.
I had given a cyclo cross bike for service, and the bike was ready in 4-5 days and the team did a great job on the bike.

I bought a second hand bike from them a couple of months ago, the bike was in perfect conditions.
After some time it started to make a small creaking sound on the handlerbar.
The owner was very comprehensive of the situation, so much that he even replaced the handlebar without asking me any euro in exchange.
After that the bike was running as smooth as the first day.
Will buy from them again

Great place. The shop has tons of bikes at varying price points and really does honour the one-year warranty – I brought my bike in eight months after purchase after it suffered some severe damage (it was bad enough that I was prepared for them to say the warranty would not fully cover it) and they repaired it no questions asked. They were beyond helpful and the bike rides as if it’s new again. I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks again guys!

Hold me underwater for 30 minutes, minimum, before I do business with this company again. 18 months of pure misery and waste since the very worst purchase—and one of the most expensive—of my life. You have been warned.

I cannot speak highly enough of this bike shop. Every time I have an issue with my bike I come here and they help me fix it for free or sell me the parts for very little cost and let me use their tools to do it myself. They also have a huge selection of the best bike parts and accessories and a pressurized air station out front to fill your tires.
I always think I need an expensive new part and they instead show me that I just need to spend €2 on a small part and 5 minutes fixing something. They are very friendly and helpful and speak English as well.

We had an great experience at Little John Bikes while purchasing our cargo electric bike. They have the largest selection of Babboe bikes compared to all the bike stores we visited. Yann, the Sales Representative, was very knowledgeable, walked us through our purchasing options (entirely in English no less) and was very patient. We were able to test drive a few bikes and have all our questions answered. We are highly satisfied with our purchase and with our overall experience at LJB

Shops wonder why people buy online and not in shops anymore. Here is why!! Went there to get a helmet with my son. Waited and waited then the lady told me: sorry we cant access the helmets because bikes are in front!!! Come on!!! Just get those helmets… I will buy it on amazon! Terrible service… I was there at 11.00 so one hour after opening times, I would expect to get served properly. Shop was empty ….

Was great to shop here. Jan was knowledgeable and helpful. I received a great insurance package for my bike courtesy of the shop and love that I can come there for repairs. Will definitely shop again!
