Urban Sports Club offers a diverse range of fitness options that cater to all interests and skill levels. With a variety of classes available, it provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to explore different workout styles and find what suits them best. The flexibility in scheduling allows members to easily incorporate workouts into their busy lives.
While the app has received mixed feedback, many users appreciate its convenience in managing class bookings. Although some features could benefit from enhancement, the core concept of providing access to numerous gyms and classes makes it a valuable service for fitness enthusiasts looking to stay active.
Customer Reviews
The variety of the classes is great.
However, both their check-in-management and the new app are disappointing.
I totally understand that new technology can cause some issues at the beginning. But what is absolutely unacceptable is that customers have to pay for their mistakes.
I couldn’t check-in because the app wasn’t working. Even a screenshot of the error message wasn’t enough to waiver the missed class fee of 13€ that I have been charged with. Instead I had a condescending service member telling me it was my fault- unless the studio proves otherwise.
Angela L.

Offers variety of classes. The app is really Convenient & user friendly. The only thing I don’t like, is that for some classes you need to create extra accounts and go to other websites to book a class! It would be much easier, if all classes are bookable through the app directly.
Ayyam Alasaad

The offering is exceptional however the app is not great. No way to connect with your friends to share a particular schedule or invite them to a workout, map radius search is very un-intuitive, the favorites is hidden behind 3 menu clicks, i cannot filter by workout venue type, the search is unintuitive and the schedule cannot be seen in a week overview, just in a list. There needs to be put more work into the usability of this app. However I am still using it because the concept of booking many sports activities is just awesome.
Gilles Tanson

The general concept is ok but
A) the support is super slow and doesn’t answer over 1 month on requests
B) the support gave me wrong information on check-in limits
C) the app is so far bad for a 2024 product. It should be so easy to give the user some reasonable overviews, graphs and stats of their sports events but almost nothing is available. Feels like usc has 0 Product managers and almost no Dev team. Also no in app account management is super annoying.
Jaro

The new app sucks. The update is a huge downgrade, there’s no way to discover new activities by distance, and the lack of photos makes everything look the same, which is really confusing. It’s barely useful as a simple schedule for one activity, but that completely misses the main purpose of Urban Sports Club.

CLEAN!!! Like really!!!
I have to say I’m a pretty picky person when it comes to the cleanliness of places, especially gyms. But this one is perfect. You can really tell that the management is taking good care & is running it well. The changing rooms & showers especially-they’re ALWAYS clean.
Super friendly staff, people who train are nice & I never had uncomfortable feelings as a woman lifting weights there… all in all I really loved my time here.

Excellent experience during the first week! The staff is very friendly, and the gym is top-notch. I even received a follow-up call after the trial day to check how it went—great organization overall. This is exactly how customers should be treated. Well done!

I signed up at Fitness First Prenzlauer Berg less than a month ago, and I’m impressed! The variety of weights is great and perfect for strength training. I also love the sauna and steam bath. The gym is clean, and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend!

Fitness First is hands down one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to! The staff are incredibly warm and engaging, creating a welcoming environment that makes every visit enjoyable. I want to give a special shoutout to Joscha, who went above and beyond to help me set realistic and achievable fitness goals. His personalized plan not only motivated me but also gave me the confidence that I can get my fitness back on track. Thanks to Joscha and the amazing team at Fitness First, I feel more inspired than ever to stay committed to my health journey. Highly recommend!

I attended the gym for 3 years and at the beginning I was really happy with it. The classes were motivating and fun, the staff was friendly and the place was clean. I thought I got a good value for the money (almost 70€/month). Unfortunately, after a while the things started to deteriorate. I realized the place is getting more crowded each day and the machines break frequently and stand unattended for weeks at a time. The dust on the floor and by the machines started growing thicker. The sauna (for women) was nice but the quiet room was usually full and rather loud. What prompted me to write this review, in the end, is that after cancelling my contract, there was still a small „subcontract” called BANP taking monthly money from my account. If I didn’t look in the app (which I was about to delete), I wouldn’t have found out for a while. This is a clever way to collect peoples money even after they leave your company. All I can say – shameful. I know this is not only the fault of this filliale but it’s the one I had the „pleasure” to use….

The gym is great, crowd is also good. And the personnel is super good and helpful. Anna has always been super friendly and helpful (with indications on how to use the facilities, lockers and even helped me when I forgot my towel); and Jannik is an excellent trainer (100% recommended).

A beautiful clean gym, great facilities. I had questions about the gym and the pool , and everything was answered by Martin , the manager at this branch. Great staff 🙂 I’ll be back for sure
aneeyat gardezi

Good facilities but extremely busy in the evening.
I literally can’t find any machine to train on. There’s only 1 of each machine type, that’s bad for any gym, let alone a gym that is costing 80€ a month.
I don’t recommend, stay away

I think I found my new gym! The employees were welcoming and helpful. The gym is well equipped and organized with the basics. The women seemed courteous and respectful of your space. I went during off peak hours so we will see how it’s during the early mornings.

What a beautiful little gym with such a welcoming atmosphere and gorgeous decoration..
I’ve tried this gym, after visiting many others around Berlin and we can immediately feel pink lady is different. The staff is truly friendly, welcoming and fun.
The areas are very well structured and divided, by cardio, weight lifting upper and lower body and booty builder.
There’s only one machine missing to make it a 5* fitness studio, which is a chin up/pull up/tricep dip machine. Other than that, it’s perfect!
I came in using my urban sports plan L and considered joining the gym directly, however, the 12-24 months abonements are extremely discouraging (since life changes so fast nowadays, that that’s too long of a financial commitment) and the flexible 1 month costs literally double. So I guess I will stay at my regular gym and return here once in a while with my urban sports pass.
Maria Joao coelho

Pink Fitness is a great spot for women who prefer a female-only environment while working out. I used to come here often after my studies at Humboldt University, and the view is nice. The fact that it is a women-only gym creates a comfortable and supportive environment, making it an enjoyable place to train. However, cleanliness has been a sometimes an issue. The gym could benefit from more regular maintenance, as the facilities are not always as clean as one would hope. Another downside is the sauna situation. In the past, both the dry sauna and steam sauna were available simultaneously, but lately, only one is open at a time on certain days. This limits options for those looking for a full post-workout relaxation experience. Overall, Pink Fitness is ideal if you value a women-only environment for training. But if you are looking for a well-maintained space or consistent access to the sauna, you might want to consider these limitations before joining.
M J

I used to like this studio: staff is friendly and the gym is well equipped. Sadly, recently it has been overcrowded. Clientele wears clothes in the sauna and occupies all space in the silence room and spa area with their towels and belongings. Hygiene is on the lower side and soap is always empty in the showers. I won’t come back.

I used to visit ELBGYM during 2022 with my corporate urban sports pass. Back then, I used to think this was the best gym in Berlin. Now, I’ve returned in 2024 and ELBGYM has purchased a few new top notch machines, making it even better.
The service is by far much above the average in Berlin. The staff is very friendly, polite and welcoming. The entire premises are spotless clean. Hygiene is at a very high standard here.
I love how they have separated the different areas; powerlifting, CrossFit, cardio and bodybuilding with a very well structured upper body and lower body areas. Everything is very well thought of and harmonious.
The crowd is very cool in here. I feel extremely comfortable training.
I have to say for the first time I have experienced people carrying around tripods to film their training. Not a big problem as long as it doesn’t become frequent.
All in all, ELBGYM still is my favorite fitness studio in Berlin and I wish they didn’t require a 1 year contract for membership. In the meantime, I’ll train here using my urban sports pass.

A great choice for a workout in Steiglizt. A convenient location near public transportation and loads of shopping options before/after your workout. Inside, there are several clean and spacious workout rooms with large windows providing natural light. They have cardio, weights, machines, and large modern spaces for classes. Clean and spacious changing rooms and a rooftop terrace with a sauna make this a top experience in Berlin. The staff is super friendly and very professional. The whole experience is clean, tight, and top-notch, all the way around. There are plenty of options for a workout in Berlin. But only ELBGYM can deliver st such a high quality.
Adam Tabachnikoff

I’ve been a member of ELBGYM for two years, and I really love it. I’m a big fan of spinning, and they offer great classes every Tuesday and Saturday. ♀️The trainers are awesome, the music is great, and the changing rooms are always clean. Highly recommend!
Tatiana Kondratenko

Well equipped gym. But during my last visit one of the receptionist was extremely rude and attacked me personally. He asked “I feel like you could be a nice person but some aura around you makes me feel like your character has a problem” I had a bad day at work and was just not super engaging and had my partner on the phone. I was shocked and asked him how he could attack my person without knowing me at all. He then made an extremely rude gesture with his hand. This was all witnessed by his colleague and my partner on the phone. It’s a great gym, and usually my experience there is great. Just wanted to flag this situation because it was really shocking and did not reflect the usual professionalism of the crew and gym.
Edit: I fully complied with this person’s request to remove the backpack, and it was on the way to the reception to get a new locker key that this interaction happened. It was hurtful, disrespectful, and singled me out in a way that was humiliating. If the gym is incapable of communicating a simple request without being verbally insulting, then I guess they abide by a different standard of professionalism.
Nanxi Ding

The gym is spacious, with modern, clean equipment, and in a great location. The staff are nice and cool too. They offer a wide selection of courses. I usually do their WODs as they are always intense and challenging. However, what I am most impressed by are Sonia´s yoga classes on Sundays. She is a WONDERFUL yogi. Her classes are always different. Her transitions are SUPERB. She is very creative and innovative. Also, the way she communicates is just perfect : so mindful, she doen´t overexplain or talk much, and it just sounds authentic.

Holmes Place, Potsdamer Platz – Great Gym with Excellent Facilities
Holmes Place at Potsdamer Platz is a clean and well-maintained gym with a nice entrance hall, pool, and sauna area. It’s generally not too crowded, making it a great place to work out, especially during the day. While it can get busier in the evenings, it’s still manageable. A nice bonus is the women-only sauna every Thursday from 5 p.m. – perfect for those who prefer a more private space.

I’ve been going to the Promenade gym in the young Potsdamer Platz for several months now. And I was able to get a pretty clear idea of the whole environment. And after having lived and therefore trained in various European countries I can say that my instinct for the best gyms is increasingly refined. This was also the case for the wonderful German capital. They deserve five stars, impeccable installations, enviable cleanliness for the amount of people who are there at the busiest times, and a staff that really makes the difference. What’s more, being greeted by the smile of Ayo, until some time ago of Anna, for example, is always a pleasure as well as a good start for a good workout, then you go up the stairs, and you find yourself on the upper floor (closer to the heaven) exceptional personal trainers first and foremost for their human warmth, such as Raj, or Wiel, it is always a pleasure to hear their tips or simply exchange a sincere smile and an authentic handshake, then of course my heart like mine impetus is softened by the peace and composure of the wise (as well as beautiful) Tanja, who with her Namasté, makes it easy for me to bow… The beauty of the best German youth is represented by the Youth: Max with his savoir faire almost mediterráneo, a true Host… And from Elías with his composed politeness typical of this part of the world. I’m certainly forgetting someone and I’m sorry for this and they are certainly also part of such an ideal environment for those looking for a bit of well-being and excellent physical shape. Yes, that’s right because, if all gyms can have a weight room, as well as a sauna and swimming pool, the service as well as the care of the guests is what makes the difference, the human warmth, the others are purely objects. I am proud to be a member of Holmes Place, and this is my testimony. As a hospitality professional for over 25 years, I speak with full knowledge of the facts.. Define five stars services… A huge thank you guys. Ich habe dich lieb … Purosangue

Gym-Goers Unite! ✨ I just discovered the BEST place to work out in Berlin! You know how much I love this magical city, and now I’ve found the perfect spot to get fit – McFit gym!
First time here, so I checked their website and guess what? They offer a FREE trial! Went in, and whoa, I was blown away by their fantastic equipment and energetic atmosphere!

This gym’s got everything you need, plus a prime location on the shopping street. Perfect for locals and travelers alike! Don’t miss out on an awesome workout experience – give McFit a shot!
Stay fit, keep smiling, and until next time – Happy Sweating!

Pros:
– Good Location: Convenient and easily accessible location.
– Clean Gym: Well-maintained workout environment.
– Good Lighting: Bright, motivating, and well-lit studio.
– Dedicated Boxing Room is appreciated.
Biggest Con & Unfulfilled request:
Note: I have made multiple requests in the past 6 months and it remains unfulfilled.
– I would like to address a recurring issue regarding the lack of a dumbbell rack in the functional workout area. Currently, male members must frequently go down to the Power area on the ground floor to retrieve dumbbells, which disrupts the flow of their workouts and adds unnecessary inconvenience. This is especially challenging given that the Power area is often crowded and not ideal for functional workouts due to limited space.
Adding a dumbbell rack with weights ranging from 2kg to 10kg (or 12kg) in the functional area would significantly improve the experience for all members, particularly men, who currently lack convenient access to these weights on the top floor. It’s worth noting that women already have access to a dedicated dumbbell rack in the women’s room on the same floor, making this addition a step towards greater accessibility and equity for all members.
Implementing this change would not require significant effort but would greatly enhance the functionality and member satisfaction of the gym. Thank you for considering this request.
Dasarathy Rangarajan

Central location. Clean and nice. Some of the cupboards in the locker room are not functioning, so it needs to be overseen. The machines aren’t the newest ones, but still good. They have more machines one floor down; go furthest in the back, there’s a stair that also leads to the men’s locker room. They have a smaller area that’s only for women.
Zsadist81

Best mcfit gym Ive attended in Berlin. Divided shower with place for your soap and gel. Without time buttons that you should always push for the water. Lot of places and whole range of exercise equipment. And also boxing equipment, I think that’s the only mcfit gym that has it.

One of my favorite Mcfit Gym location. Everything is top here, very neat there. I love the two Security features where you have to use your card to open the door as well before accessing the gym. Keep it up!!!

Great gym with big variety of equipment has two spacious areas – one for cardio machines and one for weight trainings, also a women-only zone and a room for group classes.
Really like that they offer a lot of group classes even during the weekend like Less Mills and are open 24/7, which is hard to find! The only ask would be to have towels that they don’t provide.
If you are wondering how to enter the gym while shopping center is closed, just use the elevator from Dirckenstraße opposite to Pomodoro restaurant and voila you are there on 3d floor

Great gym and it keeps getting better.
I have tried other gyms and this is my favourite in terms of equipment, space management and atmosphere.
The space is well kept and there is great ventilation.
The staff is great. You don’t really notice them but they are always around doing their work and supporting people.
Training here is nice even if sometimes there are people who take long pauses without freeing the machine and spend too much time at their phone.
Women they have their own area and they rock!
Come check it yourself. ✌️
Raffaele Triggiano

Great gym, lots of equipment and classes! My only complaint is I wish that they were as aggressive on clients re-racking their weights as they were on clients using towels on the machines. The free weight area is often a mess—No matter the time of day.
Leif Johansen

Very good gym! but always a bit annoying to go to the shower! sometimes the pressure is small, and you need to press a button every 10 seconds, other gyms don’t have such a small timer. But I can’t give it less than 5 points, because everything else is great.
Ivan Ihnatovich

While this issue isn’t about this specific gym location but the company’s central management, I feel it needs to be addressed.
I paid my monthly fee on time and have proof of payment, yet I can’t use their gyms because their system shows the fee as unpaid.
What’s even worse, I’ve written to their customer service three times in the past week and haven’t received any reply or support. It’s shocking how they can be so unresponsive and careless about their members.

I’ve been hitting this gym for a few months now, and while it’s mostly great, there are some quirks that make it… interesting.
First off, the men’s toilet. Every time I go in, it’s like someone decided to recreate Niagara Falls in there—water everywhere. Honestly, it feels like I should bring flip-flops just to survive the splash zone. The good news? The staff is on it and cleans it up quickly. The bad news? When the toilet broke for a few days, I had to take my business (ahem) to the Südkreuz Metro Station toilet. Let’s just say I’m very glad they fixed it.
Then there’s the lats/back machine near the women’s changing room. It’s always loaded with heavy weights, like it’s been abandoned by a gang of powerlifters mid-set. Seriously, there’s no way I’m hauling ten 15kg plates back to their spots. I come here to lift weights, not organize a warehouse! Maybe we need a new gym rule: “Lift it? Rack it!”
On the bright side, the equipment here is top-notch—smooth, reliable, and perfect for getting the job done. The staff is super friendly too, and they re-rack weights every hour or so, which is a huge help.
My one humble request? Turn up the loudspeaker volume! I need the hype, the vibe, the adrenaline boost when I’m about to hit a 200kg deadlift (light weight, babyyy! ).
All in all, it’s a great gym with a few quirks that add to the charm. A little less splash in the toilet, a little more discipline with the weights, and a bit louder music, and this place would be perfect!
Lazybutt

I could say other things, but the main issue is that this is the most cramped gym layout I’ve been in in my adult life. The ceilings here are so low that in some spots, if you try to do a pullup, you’ll bump your head. Not even an exaggeration. Don’t dream of jumping rope. As skipping rope and doing horizontal bar work is a staple of my workouts, I regard this is a fatal flaw. Also, the psychological implications are major and unavoidable. I do not recommend.
Bob

Good and comfortable gym, there are always free exercise machines, I’ve been working out here for years, I recommend it)

Customer Reviews
I love this gym! The staff is super nice, friendly and helpful!! The wellness area is also super nice, it has a sauna and steam bath both mixed and only for women. Is basically perfect, I’m only giving minus one star because in the weekends sometimes the wellness area is off and is a pity cause those are the perfect days to enjoy.

The studio has everything one needs to train and relax afterwards, plus the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is nice. I had two training appointments with the studio staff (Nevio and Leon), and both were really fun and motivating 🙂
