This review is only getting 1 star due to the front office scheduling. The dentists and behind the seens staff are Amazing. My husband has shown up for and taken off work for 2 appointments that he has been told were rescheduled without telling him. We have prepaid for services and they keep switching the appointment times. I can not get through to the actual office to reschedule since they canceled his appointment due to being “late” which he wasn’t he was early actually. This seems to be the only place you get any response from ANYONE. Will the “owner” commenting tell me how I can contect them to get this resolved.
She said that she was going to contact the manager of that branch and have him resolve my $200 charge that I paid and shouldn’t have had to. That was reason behind trying to contact them initially. Nothing submitted to my insurance. No contact from anyone since. I reached out to the Branch Manager using an email address that the Regional Manager had provided during our conversation. No response to that either. I guess I need to get ADA or some agency involved since nobody ever answers the phone at that branch. The main office couldn’t even get them on the phone. I don’t know how they stay in business operating in this manner….

I have had the same experience as many. Had a 9am appointment. Arrive early only to find that they info me that the appointment is now at 11. I showed them the email that my appointment was at 9 and they tell me that their system has “glitches” and that I’m not the first person that this has happened to (on the same day even). They asked if I wanted to keep the 11am or reschedule. I said that since I had driven almost an hour, I would keep the 11am. Are early only to be informed that they’re running behind. Was finally seen about 11:40am.
Then, I have had not had success getting someone to answer the phone at that same office. I keep getting transferred to the corporate office only to have them tell me that they can’t help me and instruct me to contact the Berlin office using the same number that I called to begin with. I told them that’s what I was doing to begin with. These two issues are a ridiculous mess. They need to give them proper attention and get them resolved.
5 star- the attention that I received from the dentist and dental assistants once I made it to the back room was great (on both visits). Too bad my experience was so frustrating due to the administrative part of the visit.
Unfortunately, If I have the same kind of experience next time, I will be looking elsewhere……

I was well taken care of by the very professional Dentist, that explained every step of the treatment. I am very happy with the human and professional approach in the Dental21 Berlin Friedrichshain.
So this gave me the impression, that even if you’re dying and needs immediate treatment and had been a loyal patient here, they don’t care even if you die ‘coz they’re schedule is fully-booked already!
I will never go here again and I will be cancelling all my booked appointments!
She said, that the schedule was full and there’s no way she could fill me in between. I went there twice – BEGGING to see a dentist to advise me what to do to save my tooth – it was still bleeding. I have been undergoing treatments here for a long time, my dental records and history are in this clinic so it is just logical to see my dentist here during an EMERGENCY. But the receptionist REFUSED me with no sympathy and humanity at all with her emotionless, APATHETIC expressions. She didn’t even check or asked the dentists if they could have just a quick time to see me. She just immediately said – “No Time. Schedule is Full!” – And she was seemed upset that an “ausländer” patient like me bothered her. I could still imagine her uncongenial face as she uttered those words.
I phoned all over the dental clinics in Berlin and outside the city that I could see in my google search but couldn’t get an emergency appointment too ‘coz their schedules were fully-booked, so I had to phone and look for dental clinics available in the nearby city, 3 hours by bus from Berlin – in Szczecin, POLAND! But could you just imagine booking and scheduling to get an emergency treatment in another city from another country? TRAUMATIZING!

Upon my arrival at 9:00 PM, even though the clinic is supposed to stay open until midnight, the receptionist initially told me that the clinic was fully booked and had no availability, despite the urgent nature of my situation. She even suggested that I try coming back the next day, as if trying to get me to leave simply because of my skin color. It was only after I insisted that she switched excuses and informed me that they couldn’t treat me because I didn’t have European insurance. She then curtly suggested I go to charity clinics, without even listening to the fact that I was willing to pay for treatment. Despite my explanations, she refused to speak to me further, treating me with disdain in front of the other patients.
It wasn’t until another employee intervened that I was finally asked if I had a credit card to pay for the consultation, something the first receptionist hadn’t even bothered to ask. I felt very uncomfortable, as if I was immediately categorized and discriminated against because of my skin color, as though I was judged to be unable to pay. The situation became even more humiliating when I was informed I would need to pay 100 euros and leave my credit card as a guarantee during the consultation, as if I might flee without paying.
Next, I was given a form in German to complete and sign, with no offer of a translation or any assistance to ensure I understood what I was signing. When I asked if there was an English version or if someone could help me, I was simply told there was not, and if I didn’t want to sign without understanding, I could leave. No choice given.
Fortunately, once I was finally seen by the doctor, the consultation with the dentist and his assistant went very well. He was kind, professional, and efficient. It’s a shame that the unprofessional and discriminatory behavior of the reception staff tarnishes the image of this dental practice.
In 2024, in a city as cosmopolitan as Berlin, it is outrageous that a healthcare facility would treat an emergency patient with such a lack of respect and professionalism. I felt profound discrimination and racism when all I sought was help for a medical emergency. This experience left me shocked and deeply disappointed by Medecine Dental Clinic, which should seriously reconsider how it treats patients of all backgrounds and ensure that everyone receives a respectful and dignified welcome.”

Today, I was showing up early in the day with some pain I didn’t want to get worse over the weekend – waited 90 minutes, and was taken care of within another 30, with the problem clearly identified and addressed directly.
Please bear with the reality of this being a central facility for medical care in a huge multicultural city with a lot of people – and manage your expectations accordingly ☺️

The only problem I faced is the frequent cancellation of appointments right before time, and without a proper rescheduling. My appointments have been canceled twice even without notifications. My husband’s as well. I can’t reach them by phone. Next appointments are in 2 months. I won’t recommend anymore.
