I needed the zipper on my suitcase fixed in preparation for an upcoming trip the following week. On Monday afternoon, I called the store to ask for a quote over the phone, the shop owner told me 50. When I got to the store an hour later with my suitcase, he took a brief look at it and suddenly upped the price to 60. I asked him why and he explained it was because he only had a “very strong” 10mm zipper in stock to replace my 5mm. He demanded cash up front for the job, but when I asked him for a receipt, he said that would be 15 euros more. Again, I asked why. He told me his typical rate is 120 and that a receipt for less would discredit his business. In the middle of our conversation he made a show of aggressively ripping the zipper from my suitcase (it really was not necessary to disembowel it in front of me…), then told me it would be ready for pickup the following Monday. I told him I wouldn’t have much time to pick it up on Monday, as I’d be preparing for my trip, and asked if he could finish by Saturday. He agreed, under the condition that I write a google review (so, well, here it is). I requested he message me when my pickup was ready, and he said he would. His message never came. And when I went back to the shop the following Monday to pick up my bag, I was disturbed to discover he’d sloppily glued parts of my bag together that he’d torn. I told him this wasn’t the service I expected, and he offered I wait another 30 minutes for him to add even more glue. I declined and I asked for discount for the poor service. Naturally, he refused and offered no apology.
I definitely will not be going back. But to be fair, aside from the price bait-and-switch, poor customer etiquette, presumable tax evasion, lack of update, sloppy workmanship and audacity to suggest wasting even more of my limited time, the zipper is actually quite strong.

I came in wanting to shorten the sleeves on an expensive coat and for dry cleaning of a very delicate piece of clothing.
The alteration was done perfectly, you can’t even tell something was done.
The dry cleaning was done carefully. They didn’t want to aggresively clean the piece of clothing, so they informed me of the risks and asked me if I wanted to have it cleaned for a second time, free of charge.
Depending on how busy they are, they’re fast: I could pick up my stuff the next day.
