Positive experience. Support staff were very friendly and helpful. The gadgets and setup were great too.

Only negative part was it was a bit too crowded. Around 60 people in a small arena. Literally every 1 metre there is a player. Making it almost impossible to take a breather.

We booked an escape room and paid for it, yet when we arrived we stayed waiting at the door for 30 minutes and no one opened. This is a scam.

p.s. The owner just answered lying and saying they did not hear us ring the door. We have ringed the bell, and called eight times between 19:38 and 20:07 (screenshots attached). We heard the phone ringing inside yet no one was inside.

p.p.s In addition to lying, now the business is trying to “bribe me” with a 75 euro voucher to remove my review (screenshots attached) !

I’m so pleased that I found this venue. Such an amazing evening of music in an atmospheric setting.

Very comfortable and the right size for an intimate night of music. The band were amazing, and with the size of venue, you could really hear the energy and spirit of the musicians.

The staff were wonderful, there was a young lady training a new waiter and she was doing an amazing job, as well as the new waiter, he was very attentive and if I needed a drink, it was a very swift service.

Excellent place I can’t recommend it enough… 10 out of 10 ❤️

The Tuesday jam sessions are of a very high quality, great musicians! Also the acoustics in the bar are incredible, no matter where you sit. I think this actually leads to the audience being more engaged and talking less in general, making the music stand out even more. My personal favourite jazz place in Berlin!

Full of great atmosphere and character, cosy, truly exposing you to a great sound, Jazz Club with Tuesday evenings being introduced by a witty owner Dimi, time filled with a great trio playing for the first part of the evening, followed by a jam session of aspiring jazz musicians (most of them playing like pros! so do not be misled!). Been there for the first time but certainly, definitely and categorically not the last! A place to go to for a solid quantity of Jazz for all live music lovers!

Great music as always. However, they removed the tables and packed the chairs in so tightly that any relaxed “jazz club feeling” was gone. The servers couldn’t even reach people any more

Shame, really. I always loved going there.

We came all the way from Denmark to have fun. we searched online after a nice and cozy place with good music. So we saw this lounge online… the food was so good. The service was outstanding and even thought I was very picky with the taste they made everything over and over again without even once getting annoyed! It was so fun, and very good taste of music. I removed my self and sat another place because I was cold. Instead of telling me that, that seat is for someone else, he took the heater and placed it right beside me! it was So worth it. And it will not be the last time!

we went there to watch Falling in Love with the kids. The choreography is amazing and the music the whole show is breathtaking.
I just felt that it may not be recommended for young kids below 9 years old.
The scenes of the trampolines and the acrobatic dance were on another level.

Love the shows there. I took my teenage girls for the first time and they were totally awestruck.
We saw “falling in love”. The two main protagonists were girls which added a nice modern touch to the story.

The stage technology is mind baffling especially the use of waterfalls and circular pool in the stage centre that can change its depth, fountains etc.

Also loved the cancan and that on closer inspection the guys were sure to hold their own in strut and dance. One of my daughters didn’t even realise that men were interlaced!

Great that they did summer holiday performances this year.

Impossible to explain the “falling in love” show. Not much of a story line but plenty to look at – amazing stage, costumes, lighting! We went for the cheap seats (row 9 seat 4 and 5) which had a perfect view as we had heard mixed reviews! Well worth what we spent (I don’t know that the more expensive seats are worth the extra). Not for the faint hearted or small kids but definitely good value for a 2 hour show

We had an amazing time at Friedrichstadt-Palast watching the “Falling in Love” show. The performance, effects, lighting, and music were outstanding! The costumes were incredible, and the decorations with Swarovski crystals added extra magic to the show. The wardrobe service was free and not crowded, but the restrooms were quite busy during breaks. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and we highly recommend it.

An absolute must, especially with the current political climate. We did both inside and outside along the wall. Do the audio tour inside and give plenty of time to read the wall in order. It’s an incredible exhibit that everyone should see and understand what happened here. It’s very moving.

Very nice museum.
Well structured , free audio guide through the website (many languages available), Time chronology is well done.
The museum site played a huge role in the old Reichstag, it was heartbreaking walking here and imagining all the terror and hostility that was played and commanded at the same place many years ago.
Lockers are available for a symbolic price.

This is an absolute must stop if you are visiting Berlin. The museum has an indoor and outdoor visiting area. The outdoor is along an original section of the Berlin Wall and covered from the elements if it is raining. The indoor section is also free. It is a great facility and displays everything about the Third Reich and so much more. You can spend quite a bit of time here for sure. There is a canteen, great washroom facilities, and a library (?) – was not open. I highly recommend this museum – so much information. Thanks.

An amazing gallery to visit. Don’t queue for tickets as you can just buy them on your phone in the lobby. Free coat and bag check as you go in (it’s very hot inside so highly recommend leaving your coat). Staff attentive and helpful. Some amazing pieces on show and so many rooms to visit. Remember to take a pic of the mounted horse from the first floor window, as the steps outside only let you go part way up and are locked. Great area for photos of the surrounding landmarks.

I thought the museam was quite boring and not very special, not many ‘interesting’ paintings. It was well organized and the map was made so you see every art work. The sculptures were very nice.

I visited the museum last Sunday when it was free for the last time. Due to their current recession, Berlin city has stopped giving free tickets on the first Sunday of every month. I think the city government must keep on giving free tickets.
The museum itself is very important for Human history. Especially Egyptian history. It took almost three hours to enjoy its Egyptian connections. I will obviously go back for more. The staff were friendly. Since, most of the visitors were tourists, the museum can recruit more English speaking officials.

They have good art BUT. The price is a bit steep knowing only the ground floor and first floor are opened at the moment. The pieces are a bit crammed and the light reflects on the glass frames… There is also a big lack of explanation, you get nothing beside the translated title of the artwork.
They could do so much better.

For visitor’s reference : Yesterday I waited for 2.5 hours and gave up because it seemed like I needed another 2.5 hours. Today, I arrived at 9:00 and got in at 12:10, waiting for 3 hours… the waiting time is quite crazy though the artworks in here are amazing. ( currently no online tickets available, ticketsales start 4 weeks in advance… highly recommend to preorder your ticket for long waiting time…)

Visited here on Friday night. The show was sold out. The ticket says best seats, they mean best seats left available, its first come first served, so get there early.
Great show with 4 comedians and the host. Waiters were great and served us quickly at our table. The bar is open after the show, or move on to the numerous bars and restaurants nearby on the Spree or Oranienburger Str.

We enjoyed the evening with lot of laughter. The comedian was great. The sound system and sitting arrangement were also good. We just didn’t liked the drinks and snacks service. Everyone was just waiting to get drinks before the show starts. We end up having no drinks at all. Some managed to get drinks by missing 10min of the show.

Zoo Palast: A Cinema with Charm

The Zoo Palast in Berlin is a traditional cinema with impressive architecture, located right next to the Zoological Garden and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. The comfortable reclining seats and small pre-film performances make the experience special. While the prices are a bit higher, the unique atmosphere is well worth the visit. Gladiator was amazing

I wanted to share how disappointing our last visit to the cinema was. There were two of us, and we spent around 50 euros between tickets (13 euros each) and food. Despite the high prices, the movie Gladiator II started 30 minutes later because we were bombarded with commercials (not trailers of other movies) beforehand.

I don’t think it’s fair to pay that much only to spend half an hour watching ads. I hope you can reduce the amount of advertising to make the experience more enjoyable.

Searched for a movie theater in Berlin and found this place which luckily had some of the pop movies in English as well. Went there for the for the authentic atmosphere. We had a movie session on one of the smaller rooms which had a library and a bar in it! And when the movie started the curtains went to sides. It gave us the true movie watching experience like it was for us only.

It’s a beautiful cinema with comfortable seats, but I do not recommend going to Saal 1 if you enjoy watching movies with good sound. I watched Wicked once in IMAX and enjoyed the soundtrack so much that decided to visit Zoopalast to watch it again with Dolby Atmos sound system. Unfortunately, the cinema is not well equipped for Dolby Atmos: the Saal is not properly treated acoustically. For every word sad on screen, you can hear reverb going around the room. The balance is also incorrect. You can hear the voices and sound effects well, but the music track is very quiet in comparison, sounding compressed and dull. If you want to watch movies with realistic high-quality sound, choose IMAX instead.

I went to watch a movie in those small rooms that looked like a living room with many books.
It was the coolest experience. Honestly, it’s my favorite cinema from now on.
Strong recommend. Besides that, a person is taking your orders in your seat before the movie starts.

The team at Farbtonwerk are extremely professional, experienced in their craft, customer and service oriented. Communication was easy, fast, and friendly upfront, we received a lot of detail around how to prep for the shoot, and were then received warmly at the studio + given lots of time to explain our vision and wishes for the final photo product. The team gave us undivided attention and really captured the energy and visuals we had imagined and described to them. We also felt 100% comfortable throughout the shoot.
